Uvalde police, school district no longer cooperating with Texas probe of shooting: Sources

Uvalde police and school district police are no longer cooperating with the Texas Dept. of Public Safety’s probe into the Robb Elementary School shooting, sources say.

My apologies for being extra quiet. I am still dealing with some mystery health issues. Thanks for your continued understanding.

Thank you for reading today's post. Have an InterStellar Day! ~PrP

Good guys with guns don’t work when they’re not actually good guys as it relates to their jobs. The fact is if you’re not willing to die for another human being, children in this case, you shouldn’t have become a cop. No shade it’s just that not every job is for every person. A six week course and passing a physical, a background check and a psych profile isn’t adequate to judge a person’s competence when faced with life threatening situations. The fact is they were probably scared and didn’t want to die, which is fine for an ordinary Joe, but these guys had training and were supposed to be trained in the use of firearms. If part of your job requires you to risk your life and you don’t want to do that, get another job.

Since 2005, (the Supreme Court strikes again), it was ruled that police do not have a duty to protect those NOT in their custody. If they can take action “safely”, fine, but if not, they can wait until the situation stabilizes. Simply appalling. Cops these days are nothing like the ones I worked with in the 80s. No way would they have waited outside the door listening to gunshots the way the Uvalde PD did. If the Border Patrol SWAT hadn’t gotten there, UPD would probably STILL be standing in that hallway.

the cops had control of the building and the people within. the students, the teachers, and even the shooter were in the cops’ custody.

Yep….but boy oh boy what a number those cowardly lions can do to an unarmed perpetrator who simply says the wrong thing or commits a traffic violation.

But when there is a real challenge, they deem it best to keep a safe distance.

An older Hispanic women said as much…if she goes slightly above the speed limit, something minimal, a swat team will descend upon her

    • Greg says:

They have no problem shooting folks running away from them, particularly if they are black.
Shooting someone in the back, used to be an automatic murder charge.

No one is going to fix this. Voters in Texastan elect people like Ayatollah Abbot, senators Ooze and Cornhole by huge margins.
Texastan voters are bafflingly indifferent to murder and massacres, and blame every factor but the gun.
    I’ll never understand them.

The cops said that they had to find somebody with a key to open the classroom door, that’s like firefighters looking for a key to a house that is burning down. One shot of 00 buckshot from one of 12 gauge riot guns they all have in their patrol cars would have blown the lock off the door.

    • Sean says:

Cops typically don’t have keys when they conduct “No Knock” Warrants, so they could have made entry if they wanted to.

  6. Shannon says:

My question is where were all of those gun loving patriotic “good guys” stopping the “bad guy” with the gun? They sure weren’t wearing a police officer’s uniform that day.

    • Donald says:

Despite training, bullet proof vests, and guns, police officers were too scared to get involved themselves, but Republicans think teachers should be armed and play hero.

Parents need to show the world the destroyed bodies of their babies. Everyone, thanks to the NRA and GOPers, have to see what these weapons do and why they do not belong in civilian arms. These are weapons built for war. They are designed to blow bodies apart; deliver the equivalent of having a grenade blown up inside the body. These little babies experienced that before dying excruciating and unfathomable deaths; probably crying for their parents before dying alone.

    Did You Know?

Blu-ray discs derive their name from the blue laser found in Blu-ray players—the smaller focus blue laser beam allows for higher precision, which in turn allows for a higher density of data on the disc compared to DVDs.

In the JD vs AH trial, the loser claims it was a set back for women. The set back for DV/SV victims was by Heard’s own fraud, nothing else. She saw the #metoo movement as an opportunity to defraud Johnny Depp. It’s as simple and ugly as that. She weaponized sympathy for abuse victims for her own gain. Despicable. The jury saw through it.
