Trump’s White House has embarked on its first extended foreign trip of his second presidency without a single wire service reporter aboard Air Force 1, or in motorcades and small group meetings on the president’s first day in Saudia Arabia – dramatically limiting journalists’ ability to disseminate news quickly in the event of an emergency.
While other journalists are in the pool for the flight to Riyadh and a full day of meetings, including a state dinner, none has the reach of a wire service, which have readership in the billions. White House officials did not respond to a HuffPost query about its rationale for excluding those reporters.
In the event of breaking news, the wire services would have to rely on second-hand information.
The White House pool system is designed to allow a small group of journalists to be with the president to collect and share information, cooperatively, with those who cannot be there because of space constraints. For that reason, wire services have been permanent members of the pool since its inception decades ago.
But Trump’s White House, angered by the Associated Press’s refusal to call the Gulf of Mexico by Trump’s preferred “Gulf of America,” took control of the pool system away from the White House Correspondents Association, which had administered it for years. Trump has altered the makeup of the pool by taking slots typically given to news organizations and giving them to Trump-supporting outlets.
As a result, there have already been domestic trips on which no wire service print reporter was present. (Three have been in every pool in recent years: The AP, Reuters and Bloomberg.) A single Reuters reporter was present for Trump’s trip to Rome for the funeral of Pope Francis.
It is unclear whether the wire service print reporters will be permitted in the pool for any of the remaining days of the trip before Trump’s return to Washington on Friday. Both AP and Reuters have photographers in the foreign travel pool for this trip, as do Getty Images and Agence France-Presse.

White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller said Friday that the Trump administration is ‘actively looking at’ suspending habeas corpus, the right to challenge the legality of a person’s detention by the government. Miller’s comment came in response to a White House reporter who asked about President Donald Trump entertaining the idea of suspending the writ of habeas corpus to deal with the problem of illegal immigration into the United States.
“The Constitution is clear — and that, of course, is the supreme law of the land — that the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus can be suspended in time of invasion,” the presidential adviser said. “So, that’s an option we’re actively looking at.

Trump-friendly centrists discover far-right racism — and blame it on ‘wokeness’

Shiloh Hendrix, a white Minnesota woman, went viral after repeatedly calling a child on a playground the N-word. The financial windfall she then received — reportedly over $700,000 — from crowdfunding donors, many of whom apparently saw in the unrepentant racist a fearless hero, is a despicable and miserable commentary on the current state of America’s soul.
But it isn’t shocking. Far-right racism and white grievance culture have been ascendant and increasingly mainstreamed for at least a decade. Their most influential avatar — President Donald Trump — is once again in power. (It doesn’t get more mainstream than the presidency.)
But to many of those I call “MAGA centrists” — ostensibly nonconservatives who blame the left for making them either Trump supporters or very Trump-sympathetic — unabashed right-wing racism is a terrible, but entirely new, phenomenon. And wouldn’t you know it, they say “wokeness” is to blame. They’ve even coined a name for Hendrix and her donors’ style of racism: “the woke right.”

As a white man, I am being educated by how much I get for being white in America. That racist bitch belongs to the same dominant upper caste as I do. Ms. Wilkerson points out that understanding the dominant caste in America is key to everyday social interaction.
Forced enslavement depended on horrific torments, and allowed upper caste people virtually unlimited power. I understand how black Americans can feel captive in a system that has marked their entire adulthood. Speaking of Air Force One, tRump is being bought by Qatar. WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump reportedly is ready to accept a luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet as a gift from the ruling family of Qatar during his trip to the Middle East this coming week, and U.S. officials say it could be converted into a potential presidential aircraft.
The Qatari government acknowledged discussions between the two countries about “the possible transfer” of a plane to be used temporarily as Trump’s Air Force One, but denied that the jet “is being gifted” or that a final decision had been made.
ABC News reported that Trump will use the aircraft as his presidential plane until shortly before he leaves office in January 2029, when ownership will be transferred to the foundation overseeing his yet-to-be-built presidential library.
The gift was expected to be announced when Trump visits Qatar, according to ABC’s report, as part of a trip that also includes stops in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the first extended foreign travel of his second term.
Qatar is not the only ones bribing tRump. Oviedo Guzman gave tRump’s son $323 million for safe passage for him and his family members to the US.
When Oviedo Guzman Lopez was extradited to the US in 2023, he attempted to bribe the Ear and Biden with an offer of $625 million dollars. They refused and he was scheduled to be tried for his crimes. It seems that tRump comes considerably cheaper.
The bribe will allow Guzman to escape considerable jail time. His family will be allowed to keep their $billions of drug money. And they will receive protection from the federal government.

A recall was not requested because the affected products are no longer available for purchase.
The ready-to-eat (RTE) chicken and bacon ranch wrap products were produced on May 2, 2025. The following products subject to the public health alert are:
– 10-oz. clear plastic clamshell packages containing “Big Y quick easy meals CHICKEN BACON RANCH WRAP” with “Sell By 05/07/2025” and lot code 25122.
– 10-oz. clear plastic clamshell packages containing “MARKET 32 BY PRICE CHOPPER Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap” with “Sell Through 05/07/2025” and lot code 25122.
The products bear the establishment number “P34657” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to distributors in Massachusetts and New York and further distributed to retail locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York.

The affected products have labels that indicate they are “gluten-free” and display the New Grains brand name. The label colors could be red, purple, orange, blue, green, or pink.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that products containing eggs, soy, and milk were distributed in labels that did not reveal the presence of eggs, soy, and milk.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
Consumers who have purchased the affected products are urged not to consume the products and to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

This recall is being made with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
