The Henley passport index compiles how many countries a passport allows the passport holder to get into without a visa.
The USA passport used to be powerful. But now, its close to dropping out of the top ten – tying for 10th place with Iceland and Lithuania, It’s at its lowest position in the 20 year history of the index.
“The consolidation we’re seeing at the top underscores that access is earned — and must be maintained — through active and strategic diplomacy,” said Christian H. Kaelin, the inventor of the passport-index concept, in a statement, per USA Today. “Nations that proactively negotiate visa waivers and nurture reciprocal agreements continue to rise, while the opposite applies to those that are less engaged in such efforts.”

Many wealthy US citizens are purchasing golden passports.
A golden passport, also known as Citizenship by Investment, allows foreign investors to exchange citizenship through financial contribution, allowing quick a citizenship process and benefits like visa-free travel. You can find a list of countries that offer them here. Malta is looking good.
Generally searching, I found the following pop up as the “easiest” (relative term) countries that offer golden passports:

n February 1879 Parrott’s gang pulled off a nice robbery of a gun dealer in Milestown, Montana, stealing several thousand dollars despite the train being well escorted by soldiers.
In 1880 Big Nose George and one of his lieutenants were caught dead drunk in a saloon and arrested. The decapitated skull was then given to a very young assistant, Lillian Heath (who later became Wyoming’s first female doctor), who used it for years as an ashtray, pen holder and doorstop.
Then the body was flayed and the skin was sent by Osborne to a tannery in Denver, to be used to make a pair of shoes and a doctor’s bag.
What remained of the body of the poor Parrott was dismembered and enclosed in a whiskey barrel, immersed in a preservative saline solution, to be able to resume the experiments if necessary.
After a year the drum containing the mutilated body of Big Nose was buried in the courtyard of Maghee’s house.
The “criminal skin” shoes were worn by Osborne in 1893 during the ceremony for his inauguration as the first Democratic governor of the State of Wyoming.

Elmore Bolling, he was too successful.
Elmore Bolling, whose brothers called him Buddy, was a kind of one-man economy in Lowndesboro, Ala. He leased a plantation, where he had a general store with a gas station out front and a catering business; he grew cotton, corn and sugar cane. He also owned a small fleet of trucks that ran livestock and made deliveries between Lowndesboro and Montgomery. At his peak, Bolling employed as many as 40 people, all of them black like him.
One December day in 1947, a group of white men showed up along a stretch of Highway 80 just yards from Bolling’s home and store, where he lived with his wife, Bertha Mae, and their seven young children. The men confronted him on a section of road he had helped lay and shot him seven times — six times with a pistol and once with a shotgun blast to the back. His family rushed from the store to find him lying dead in a ditch.
The shooters didn’t even cover their faces; they didn’t need to. Everyone knew who had done it and why. “He was too successful to be a Negro,” someone who knew Bolling told a newspaper at the time. When Bolling was killed, his family estimates he had as much as $40,000 in the bank and more than $5,000 in assets, about $500,000 in today’s dollars. But within months of his murder nearly all of it would be gone. White creditors and people posing as creditors took the money the family got from the sale of their trucks and cattle. They even staked claims on what was left of the family’s savings. The jobs that he provided were gone, too. Almost overnight the Bollings went from prosperity to poverty. Bertha Mae found work at a dry cleaner. The older children dropped out of school to help support the family. Within two years, the Bollings fled Lowndes County, fearing for their lives.

Do you know who this man is in the photo? Most likely, you don’t—and don’t feel bad because probably one in a million Americans know him. That’s a big loss. His name is Eugene Jacques Bullard. He was the first African-American fighter pilot in history. But he was much more than that. He was a national hero, and his life story is so amazing that if someone wrote a movie script about it, Hollywood might say it’s too unbelievable.
Bullard lived in France as an immigrant. When World War 1 started, he joined the French Infantry. He was badly hurt in battle, and France gave him two awards for bravery: the Croix de Guerre and the Medaille Militaire. In 1916, he joined the French air service. He first trained as a gunner but later became a pilot. When American pilots came to help France and formed the famous Lafayette Escadrille, Bullard wanted to join. But by the time he was ready to fly, they had stopped accepting new pilots, so he joined the Lafayette Flying Corps instead. He flew with French units and completed 20 combat missions.
When the United States entered the war, Bullard was the only pilot from the Escadrille or Flying Corps who was not invited to join the US Air Service. The reason? At that time, the US Air Service only accepted white men.
Here’s a part of his story that sounds like it came from a movie like ‘Casablanca’: After World War 1, Bullard became a jazz musician in Paris and even owned a nightclub called ‘L’Escadrille’. During World War 2, when Germany took over France, his club became popular with German officers. But what they didn’t know was that Bullard spoke German and was secretly working as a spy for the Free French. He later joined a French infantry unit again, but was hurt badly and had to leave the army.
By the end of the war, Bullard was a national hero in France. But when he moved back to the United States, almost no one knew who he was. In 1959, France made him a national Chevalier, or Knight, but this was mostly unknown in the US.
In 1960, the French President Charles DeGaulle visited the United States. One of the first things he wanted to do was meet Bullard. This surprised many people because almost no one in the US had heard of him. They found Bullard working as an elevator operator in New York City, and DeGaulle traveled there to meet him.
Not long after meeting the French President, Eugene Bullard died. Today, very few Americans, especially African-Americans, know his story. But now you do. I hope you will share this story about a great American hero that almost no one else knows.

Henry Johnson, known as the “Black Death,” was one of the bravest American soldiers in World War I. Even though he had little experience and training, he agreed to help the French Army by standing guard in the Argonne Forest.
Soon, Johnson and another American soldier, Needham Roberts, were attacked by German snipers.
Johnson was hurt badly, with 21 wounds, but he kept fighting. He killed four enemy soldiers and hurt about 20 more. He also saved Roberts from being captured. Johnson almost stopped the Germans from breaking through the French lines all by himself. Because of his great bravery, the French gave him their highest military award, the Croix du Guerre. But when he came back to America, no one officially honored him for his heroism, and he did not even get a disability pension.

The Food and Drug Administration issued an alert earlier this week about shrimp sold at Walmart over concerns that it could be radioactive. And now more shrimp are being added to the list.
Southwind Foods, a company based in Carson, California, is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of frozen shrimp due to possible contamination with Cesium-137, according to a press release from the FDA. Cs-137 is a radioisotope of cesium that is not naturally occurring but has been present in our environment ever since the first nuclear explosions occurred in 1945.
The new recall includes frozen shrimp sold under several brand names, including Sand Bar, Best Yet, Arctic Shores, Great American, and First Street. The shrimp was distributed between July 17 and Aug. 8, 2025, though specific retail locations have not been named in the FDA’s notice.
The primary concern around eating the shrimp is long-term, involving repeated low-dose exposure, which can contribute to cancer.
That means you won’t become ill from eating the radioactive shrimp, but later on you will probably get cancer somewhere in your body. It could make benign cancer become full blown death sentences.

A new report ranks America’s most livable retirement towns—Florida leads the list with seven spots in the top 10.
GOBankingRates.com recently published a report on the 50 most livable retirement towns in the U.S. Overall, Florida dominated the survey, with over half of all 50 towns located there, followed by Arizona with eight towns on the list. Keep reading to see what city claimed the top spot.
As a record number of Americans reach retirement age, more seniors are looking for communities that can provide them with comfort and safety during their golden years.
GOBankingRates.com recently published a report on the 50 most livable retirement towns in the U.S. Florida towns take the top three spots, with Dunedin winning. It has a livability score of 84 out of 100 and a median household income of $68,068.
Additionally, Dunedin, which is located on the Gulf of Mexico about 25 miles west of Tampa, has a sizable retirement community with 35 percent of residents aged 65 and older. The town is known for its beautiful white sand beaches and charming downtown. The beautiful Caladesi Island State Park and Honeymoon Island are just a short drive from downtown Dunedin, offering unspoiled coastal landscapes.
Following Dunedin at No. 2 is Ormond Beach, Florida, where a third of the population is of retirement age and the median household income is $67,482. Sebastian, Florida, ranked third with a median household income of $68,863 and 35.9 percent of the population aged 65 and older. Both Ormond Beach and Sebastian achieved a livability score of 83.
The Sunshine State dominated the survey, with over half of all 50 towns located there. The top 10 has seven Florida communities, including Gulfport at No. 6, Estero at No. 8, Naples at No. 9, and Venice at No. 10.
Arizona also made a strong showing in the study, with eight towns on the list, including the highest-ranking Oro Valley, which was fifth. People looking to retire in the West should also consider Laguna Woods, California, where 83 percent of the population is of retirement age and the median household income is $60,235.
Notable inclusions in the Northeast include the No. 4 spot, Parole, Maryland, just outside of the state’s capital, Annapolis, and Pompton Plains, New Jersey, at No. 7. However, both these towns have a median household income of above $110,000.
To determine the rankings, GOBankingRates referenced the U.S. Census 2023 5-Year American Community Survey to identify towns with populations of at least 10,000 people, of which at least 33 percent are of retirement age.

The flipside to a very desirable area is it’s extremely expensive. Everybody wants to be here and housing is limited. Home values in Dunedin supposedly increased 36% last year.
