Disney&#8217;s The Little Mermaid is coming to theaters May 26, 2023. &#8220;The Little Mermaid,&#8221; visionary filmmaker Rob Marshall&#8217;s live-action reimagining of the studio&#8217;s Oscar\u00ae-winning animated musical classic, opens exclusively in theaters nationwide May 26, 2023.<\/p><\/blockquote><script async src=\"\/\/cdn.embedly.com\/widgets\/platform.js\" charset=\"UTF-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-blue-color has-text-color\">She&#8217;s a very pretty girl.  She&#8217;s talented and this should have been a wonderful experience for her and her career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-blue-color has-text-color\">Unfortunately, the racists have really come out of the cracks <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/culture\/culture-news\/black-little-mermaid-racist-outcry-twitter-1234591724\/\">denouncing this<\/a> remake. YouTube had to turn off the &#8220;like&#8221; button because the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thethings.com\/the-little-mermaid-trailer-leads-youtube-to-disable-dislike-counter\/\"> video racked up 1.5 MILLION dislikes<\/a> upon release.   Even if some\/a lot of that \/ might have been created by a bot a racist set up, it&#8217;s not all that.  White people have been going off the rails about it on social media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-blue-color has-text-color\">There is a positive side to this.
