Nodosauridae are ankylosaurian<\/a> dinosaurs. They were about 18 feet long, weighed close to 3000 pounds, and existing about 110 million years ago. In 2011, one was found at the Suncor Millennium Mine in Alberta. It is the best preserved remains ever found – complete with skin, armor and guts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Suncor nodosaur was uncovered by an excavator operator digging in an oil sands mine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As if the preservation of skin, armor, and guts weren\u2019t impressive enough, the dinosaur mummy is also unique in that it was preserved in three dimensions, with the original shape of the animal retained. It was so well preserved, it still weighed 2500 pounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
