Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; 21 April 1926 – 8 September 2022) was Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms from 6 February 1952 until her death in 2022. She was queen regnant of 32 sovereign states during her lifetime, 15 at the time of her death.
She was Britain’s longest reigning monarch at a little over 70 years of rule.. and the second longest serving monarch in history. That honor goes to French King Louis XIV how was monarch for more than 72 years after taking the throne at age four and dying in 1715.
