We must remember that the former president of the United States and his crime family are first and foremost grifters. Always have been; always will be. Liars, cheats, swindlers and, to paraphrase Elizabeth Warren, “money grubbers.”
Republican U.S. Representative Liz Cheney warned that the nation’s democratic system is threatened by ongoing efforts to deny the legitimacy of Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss.
Some 5,100 delegates and alternates voted on a party platform that also calls for ending the federal income tax, requiring education about fetal gestation and limiting the Legislature’s right to regulate guns.
I can’t not post about the Texas repugnant’s convention without dedicating space to this BS too:
The Texas Republican party adopted a new platform on Saturday that refers to homosexuality as “abnormal” and “opposes all efforts to validate transgender identity.” The Texas GOP party adopted the 40-page platform at its biennial convention in Houston after passing the party’s new guiding principles, which includes a section titled “Homosexuality and Gender Issues.”
The ignorance is just astounding!
Juneteenth was yesterday – June 19th – but we celebrate the holiday federally today – on the Monday following. This video is two years old, but still timely.

My company has given employees the day off, paid, for two years now. But, I know that’s not the case for many. It would be a good day to walk off the job en mass to force change here imo. If every single black person in the work force and those of other colors that support Juneteenth walked off the job today, they would cause serious economic damage and you’d see how fast that law changes. Paid holiday for all!
One year after President Biden made Juneteenth a federal holiday, 26 states have not authorized the funding that would allow for state employees to take the day off.
