Well, how is 2022 treating everyone this year? Tell me some stories.

My year has been a shit show on the work front. I’ve only worked five days, but a few were 16.5 hours long under heavy deadline pressure. I don’t think the overtime money is worth the stress. I’d love to retire and just be a landlord most days. #goals

Money is on the mind of Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen, too. She released a statement yesterday that the U.S. Mint has begun shipping its first coins under the American Women Quarters Program and the first coin is: Maya Angelou. What a great first pick. Her coins will be shipped through 2025.

Also on the money front, the California Public Utilities Commission is voting in two weeks to vote on a punitive tax proposal on solar customers, the steepest tax on customers in the country, potentially adding $50-$80/month.

At a time when California should be encouraging clean energy and innovation, this reeks of a bailout for PGE so they can raise rates again to pay their legal fees for their bumbling incompetence. If you agree, please consider leaving a comment to the PUC to vote no.
