The real reason the Republican Party is now a Russian asset is that the RNC was also hacked by the Russians. The GOP will do ANYTHING to hide their treason and corruption that Vladimir Putin has on all of them.
Robert, Republicans have bought into Trump and Trump has bought into Russian intelligence conspiracies. This is there all in mentality and they aren’t thinking straight. It is short-term thinking that is going to bite them in the rear end, but they did something similar with Nixon until the very end.
This time it is very serious because with Nixon it was legality, here it is being dupes of a foreign power. The consequences for America and our national security are great. Republicans have bought into Trump’s tactics of denial, scapegoating and fake facts to counter reality. This is what will sink their party more than anything else. They are becoming more untrustworthy to lead in a democracy, better suited for a totalitarian one, on a slippery slope.

You are assuming that their base cares… I have read and seen polls that many of his supporters would prefer Russia to the democrats. That is how divided we have become. We are not a United States. That is the reality. The only thing remaining is how to physically break the country up so that what emerges can function independently but I don’t see anyway to put humpty dumpty back together again…
It should scare the bejezus out of everyone that the GOP and Russia’s interests coincide so completely, that they are using the same propaganda and that they are supporting the same candidates. Are people so blind they do not see corruption and foreign influence gaining the upper hand in our government? Can we look up from our phones long enough to rescue our nation?
