We have solved one of the molecular – solid to liquid – movements. Will report to the Science department as soon as the independent tests are complete.
The region of Palestine/Land of Israel was among the earliest in the world to see human habitation, agricultural communities and civilization. In the Bronze Age, the Canaanites established independent city-states that were influenced by the surrounding civilizations, among them Egypt, which ruled the area in the Late Bronze Age.
During the Iron Age, two related Israelite kingdoms, Israel and Judah, controlled much of Palestine, while the Philistines occupied its southern coast. The Assyrians conquered the region in the 8th century BCE, then the Babylonians in c. 601 BCE, followed by the Persians who conquered the Babylonian Empire in 539 BCE. Alexander the Great conquered the Persian Empire in the late 330s BCE, beginning a long period of Hellenization in the region. In the late 2nd century BCE, the Hasmonean Kingdom conquered most of Palestine and parts of neighboring regions but the kingdom gradually became a vassal of Rome, which annexed the area in 63 BCE. Roman Judea was troubled by large-scale Jewish revolts, which Rome answered with by destroying Jerusalem and the Second Jewish Temple.
In the 4th century, as the Roman Empire christened, Palestine became a center of Christianity, attracting pilgrims, monks and scholars. Following the Muslim conquest of the Levant in 636–641, several Muslim ruling dynasties succeeded each other as they wrestled control of Palestine: the Rashiduns; the Umayyads, who built the Dome of the Rock and the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem; the Abbasids; the semi-independent Tulunids and the Ikhshidids; the Fatimids; and the Seljuks. In 1099, the Crusaders established the Kingdom of Jerusalem in Palestine, which the Ayyubid Sultanate reconquered in 1187. Following the invasion of the Mongol Empire, the Egyptian Mamluks reunified Palestine under its control before the Ottoman Empire conquered the region in 1516 and ruled it as Ottoman Syria largely undisrupted through to the 20th century.
During World War I the British government issued the Balfour Declaration, favoring the establishment of a national home for the Jewish people in Palestine. The British captured Palestine from the Ottomans shortly thereafter. The League of Nations gave Britain mandatory power over Palestine in 1922. British colonial rule and Arab efforts to prevent Jewish migration into Palestine led to growing sectarian violence between Arabs and Jews, eventually causing the British government to announce its intention to terminate the Mandate in 1947.
The United Nations General Assembly recommended partitioning Palestine into two states; one Arab and one Jewish. However, the situation in Palestine had deteriorated into a civil war between Arabs and Jews. The Arabs rejected the Partition Plan, the Jews ostensibly accepted it, declaring the independence of the State of Israel in May 1948 upon the termination of the British mandate.
Nearby Arab countries invaded Palestine, but Israel not only prevailed but also conquered far more territory of the Mandate than envisioned by the Partition Plan.
During the war, 700,000, or about 80% of all Palestinians fled or were driven out of the territory that Israel conquered, and were not allowed to return, in an event that became known as the Nakba (“Catastrophe”) to the Palestinians.
Starting in the late 1940s and continuing for decades thereafter, about 850,000 Jews from the Arab world immigrated (“made Aliyah”) to Israel.
After the war, only two parts of Palestine remained in Arab control: the West Bank (and East-Jerusalem), annexed by Jordan, and the Gaza Strip (occupied by Egypt), which were conquered by Israel during the Six-Day War in 1967.
Despite international objections, Israel started to establish settlements in these occupied territories.[1] Meanwhile, the Palestinian national movement gradually gained international recognition, largely thanks to the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO, founded in 1965) under the leadership of Yasser Arafat. In 1993, the Oslo Peace Accords between Israel and the PLO established the Palestinian National Authority (PA) as an interim body to run parts of Gaza and the West Bank (but not East Jerusalem) pending a permanent solution to the conflict.
Further peace developments were not ratified and/or implemented, and in recent history, relations between Israel and Palestinians have been marked by repeated military conflicts, especially with the Islamist group Hamas, which also rejects the PA.
In 2007, Hamas won control of Gaza from the PA, now limited to the West Bank. In November 2012, the State of Palestine (the name used by the PA) became a non-member observer state in the UN, allowing it to take part in General Assembly debates and improving its chances of joining other UN agencies.
Humans are killing each other over gods that don’t exist and never did. Their barbarism towards each other and the ability of others to accept that type of barbarism as an excuse for the injuries they have suffered shows that they are just cattle capable of communicating on some inconsequential level.
Why not just allow us to divide them into herds we can manage and feed from?
Israel has been forcing 2.2 million people to live the the ghetto called the Gaza Strip for more that 50 years. That frustration exploded and Hamas attacked Israel in self defense.
Your statement demonstrates the problem with the Middle East, most of the people there don’t have the conscious to distinguish between legitimate and barbaric behavior as a means of protest for perceived wrongs. What kind of man thinks that murder, rape, torture, and/or kidnapping is an acceptable reaction to a wrong done to him?
“Self defense” my ass, raping, murdering, and kidnapping defenseless women, unarmed men and children is a crime that only savages would do.Why would Israel or any other country accept people like that in their country, It is telling that no other Arab country has offered to let Palestinians into their country.
The reason is obvious they are uncivilized barbarians.
Islamic men are always complaining about how they are being treated, but they show no mercy to those who they disagree with. They will murder, torture and kidnap the children, women and babies of anyone they disagree with.
I hope Israel shows them how to behave during war. If civilians die it won’t be because the Israelites deliberately targeted them which is what the cowardly Hamas animals did.
No one should expect an Islam man to have mercy on a woman or child. These are beasts that murder their own females if they feel she has caused them dishonor. If a father can kill his own daughter without remorse, he will not hesitate to kill the daughters of his perceived enemies. Islamic men are savages who prey upon women and unarmed men. My mother and I escaped my father in Lebanon. He was a monster. His brother raped me and my mother. He told us if we told anyone, my father would be forced to kill me to save face and all he would have to do is pay a fine. That is if the court didn’t believe that we seduced him. We tricked my older brother to escort us to France where we applied for political asylum.
Islamic men are animals. They use religion to control Arab women. Most of us live in fear.
I escaped my family also. We live in the US. When I was 17 I had a white male boyfriend. My sister told my mother and she told the rest of the family. My father and brother plotted to send me back to Iraq. My little brother said they intended to have me checked for my virginity. If I were not still a virgin, I would be killed.
He helped me escaped in the night. That was 4 years ago. I am in my third year in college. Under Islam women are only good for taking care of the men and satisfying their carnal lust.
How about the little handbook the army found on some of the Hamas’s dead terrorists. It was a Hostage-Taking hand book. It was a detailed “how-to” guide for taking hostages.
Imagine issuing thugs a guide on how to go into a place where civilians are with instructions that the first thing you do when you are attempting to take a hostage is to torture them. It includes detailed descriptions on how to torture them, how to abduct them, how to kidnap them. It says that you are to kill the most difficult ones, the problematic ones. You should remove any instruments they may have to kill themselves with. You should remove the men from the women and the women from the children. It says to force them into compliance with electric shocks.
Calling Hamas human beings is a large stretch. Most of them are in it for the right to murder, rape, and terrorize others with the impunity that Hamas gives them. They do the same to Arabs, westerners or anyone they believe Hamas would not object to. Killing Jews is just a bonus.
And Hamas did quite well against unarmed men, women and children. But oh how they cower when the Israelis come for payback. They force their own citizens to be living shields. Lie about rockets damage caused by their mistakes, and try for sympathy from the world when they fear that payback.
The Arabs like to claim that the Palestinians are the only ones with a legitimate claim to that area. They cannot understand reality. They think if they talk loud enough, say it often enough, and really just hope long enough, that reality will change. Sort of like sitting on a pile of doggie doo and hoping real hard it will turn into a gold egg.
we should have better understanding to the world and stop supporting one party over other. No one have a right to take anybody else land, and there is no land registered for other people to come and take it after a thousands of years. Let’s be realistic the only solution is to agree about 2 states. what’s Isreal doing keeping Palestinians in a prison camp they can anytime cut water electricity medicine supply…….. unacceptable. we can argue about it back-and-forth. but what’s the solution ? it doesn’t matter who is right and who is wrong there is humans dying that’s what we should look for to stop the killing. ( this way, if we have extra humans we can feed the Aliens) 😬
A two state solution has repeatedly been refused by the Palestinians. As long as they think they can achieve by force what they want, they are not interested in a political solution. Frankly, if I were Israel, I wouldn’t trust the murderous bastards as far as I could throw one of them.
If the Palestinians got a state, they would immediately be at war with each other. The Shiite and Sunni Muslims would be at each other’s throats. Islam is a sick religious cult followed by men who use it to subjugate their women.
Nader, you are very wise. I am an Israeli who agrees with you. Many Israelis are against what Israel has been doing to the Palestinians, But a lot of Israelis are afraid of trusting the Palestinians. This recent targeting of civilians has proven that they can’t be trusted. I am against killing Palestinian civilians, but I am not for the IDF going into Gaza and destroying Hamas’s ability to repeat what they did to us. Afterwards I hope that my country will work to give the Palestinians more autonomy.
We like you Nader. Bring on the food.
This is a sane voice delivered during the fog of war.
An influential Saudi prince has issued a strong condemnation of Hamas in a rare rebuke from one of the Middle East’s main power brokers.
Prince Turki al-Faisal, a former Saudi ambassador to the UK and US, said he preferred “civil insurrection and disobedience” to the murderous tactics adopted by the Palestinian terror group, Hamas.
“I categorically condemn Hamas’s targeting of civilian targets of any age or gender as it is accused of,” Prince al-Faisal said in a speech at the Baker Institute for Public Policy, a US think tank housed at Rice University in Texas.
“But equally, I condemn Israel’s indiscriminate bombing of Palestinian innocent civilians in Gaza and the attempt to forcibly drive them into Sinai,” he added, citing Israel’s recent bombardment of the enclave and order for its residents to flee south towards Egypt ahead of an expected ground offensive.
Prince al-Faisal’s remarks underline recent comments from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and indicate Riyadh may still be amenable to a historic normalization deal with Israel, despite having put on hold talks amid the current war.
Arabs with common sense and an ounce of feelings toward someone other than themselves and their loved ones disagree with what Hamas did when they attacked civilians in Israel. Most are afraid to admit less they and or their family members be attacked by unhinged Arab barbarians.
Kamala Harris is not a typical vice president. She is the first female, Black person and Asian American person to hold the job. She serves alongside the nation’s oldest president, and he’s now running for re-election at age 80. One way or the other, she seems likely to be a prominent presidential candidate four years from now.
Her defenders often argue that the criticisms of her stem from racism and sexism. And they have a point. White male politicians don’t receive the kind of online hate that she does. And men who are known to be difficult bosses are not subject to the gossipy “mean boss” stories Harris has been.
Kamala Harris could, as most eventual presidents do, signal to swing voters that she is more moderate than her party. Harris’s history as a prosecutor, for instance, could allow her to address voters’ concerns about crime and immigration. Instead, she has distanced herself from her own record — while also failing to embrace a clearly progressive image.
Who is she, and what does she believe? Even Democrats who want to like her often aren’t sure.
Harris seems to view these questions as superficial and separate from the serious business of governing. But most voters don’t follow the minutia of politics and policy. They look for leaders who can express a set of values and priorities — sometimes, yes, through lovely speeches — that resonate with their own lives.
Harris has made it very far in politics without quite having done so. But her chances of taking the final step would significantly increase if she tried to meet voters where they were.
America’s Intelligence services have signaled that Syria is preparing to enter the war against Israel. The US has signaled Putin that they intend to reduce Damascus to rubble if this happens and that they should remove their forces from the area to avoid US and Russia conflicts.
The US is only waiting until their strike group gets to the Middle East. They are claiming that they are requesting Israel to hold back entering Gaza so they can continue perusing the return of the hostages. Actually, they are telling Israel to holdback on their ground invasion until the entire strike group is together.
Israel will wait until that force arrives before they invade Gaza. When they do the US will launch a massive attack upon Iran. Lebanon will enter the war against the US. Several other Arab countries will also follow Lebanon. Us forces stationed in Lebanon and Syria will go on the ready to bomb the shit out of those countries. Surveillance of every Arab male that is in the US under the age of 70 has been in operation for the last 3 months.
Homeland security has been monitoring their conversations for any mention of Israel or Gaza. New arrivals have been halted for Islamic Arabic males unless the US feels they may offer some intelligence now or in the future. Arab males appealing for asylum will be deeply scrutinized.
The documents found on Hamas operatives show that they had detailed information about the layout and operation of those little villages they attacked. It proves that Israel isn’t the only ones with excellent intelligence. This material was given to the Hamas operatives in October 20222. The attack was prepared at least a year in advance with absolute secrecy. Where was the great Mossad? Why did it take the great IDF more than 6 hours to arrive to protect those villages and people? Hamas’s instruction Manuels told their operatives NOT to take the captives into Gaza because even Hamas believed in the hype about the efficiency of the IDF. But the inefficiency of the IDF gave the Hamas operatives time to take more than 200 hostages into Gaza rather than hold them in their villages while they battled the vaunted IDF. They just killed the ones they didn’t want and leisurely marched more than 200 Israelis back into Gaza.
Now who the fuck is afraid of the IDF? If Israel and the US want a global conflagration they can have it.
Let me address the lie that US secretary Blinken said about Hamas blocking civilians from leaving Gaza. Sammy Nabulsi who has friends trapped in Gaza with their 1 year old son said that there were no military or Hamas militants on the Palestinian side blocking civilians from entering Egypt at the Rafah entrance. The only thing between those that want to leave Gaza is a series of gates which are closed. Egypt is fucking playing games with the lives of the Palestinian people for money. The bastards are just trying to get as much money form the Americans for their cooperation as they can. They could give a shit about their fellow Arabs or anyone else who wants to cross into Egypt.
This is so true. The Egyptians are basically criminals attempting to profit off desperateness of the Palestinians. I and many of my friends have received many pictures and videos of the area from our relatives and friends who are trying to leave Gaza. There are no militants of any kind preventing them from leaving only Egypt’s greed.
What you say is not totally true. My family had their money and passports taken by Hamas to prevent them from leaving the North. Hamas wants as many civilian casualties as they can get. So they can claim that Israel is killing civilians without regard for human life. Many of my family members and friends are going to be victims of this plan.
The reality is that we Israelis thought that the threat by Hamas to destroy us was deterred. We had opened the boarders. More Palestinians from Gaza were working in Israel than in many many years. The bastards used our trust to map out the locations of our Kibbutzes and their defenses so that those Hamas murders could use them to murder, rape, terrorize and kidnap us. We have learned out lesson. I say let them rot in their ghettos. We need to go into Gaza and wipe out Hamas, if there are a lot of civilian casualties, so be it. They brought it upon themselves by supporting Hamas.
Dude it is not as simple as you make it. Yes, Israel open the borders and allowed us to work inside Israel and we were prospering a little in Gaza. It was Mossad’s mistake to think that Hamas was not going to be as militant as they had been. Although most of Gaza want to live in peace with Israel, Hamas does not. While we just want the autonomy to decide our own fate, Hamas wants to destroy Israel and exterminate its people. Yes, many of us were forced by Hamas to spy for them. But you have seen how vicious they are. We have to live in Gaza with them. What could we do?
Don’t blame us for the failure of Mossad to protect its citizens. Israel is making the same mistake with Hezbollah. Military experience gained from fighting in Syria’s civil war and decades of clashes with Israel has strengthened the Iran-backed group. Israel thinks that Hezbollah is deterred and that the few rocket attacks they send towards Israel is just appease the axis of resistance to Israel’s presence in the Middle East, but they are wrong.
Like Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah, politically, is losing its clout among the Lebanon’s populace. They, like Hamas, have to show that they can take on Israel. Hezbollah will take Lebanon into war with Israel.
If any serious Arab wants an honest opinion about what Hamas has done they should rea the op-ed of Yasmine Mohammed. Her father was born and raised in Gaza. She is the daughter of a Palestinian immigrant.
Is this the woman who was forced by her mother to marry an Isis soldier when she was 19?
The US has plenty of evidence that Iran and they intend to use force to deal with Iran. China is sending a full naval battle force to the Middle East. They conspired with Russia who is sending a slow moving force and several nuclear submarines to flank the US fleet. The UK is sending several battle ships to support the US in the Middle East. Both Germany and France are putting their militaries on alert to prepare their nuclear capabilities and Naval force to be able to support the US if China and Russia confront in the Middle East,
The US have no plans to back down. Two Nuclear submarines have left Guam for the Middle East. The US is not opposed to nuking both Lebanon and Syria if they feel it is the only way to save their fleet.
Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia are requesting that the US leave them out of their nuclear sights, The US says if will leave it up to those countries to put a check on their hate groups, if they can’t then they will also be in their nuclear sights. Tunisia, Libya, and Yemen are reading to enter the war.
Iran feels that it needs to enter the war to head off a civil rebellion in its country. Under the claim of subduing “traitors” in their country they can eliminate the leaders of their civil unrest. They need to attack Israel to accomplish this. If they do Israel will launch attacks to cripple the entire country. They will include the Hezbollah which means they will cripple Lebanon also.
Australia, the Philippines, New Zealand and other nations in the Pacific are preparing to confront the PLA in the Pacific with US supports. Earth could be heading for WWIII.
