I am so over Facebook! I have been saving videos there to post here. Someone asked me if I might change the post tonight. So I said Yes, give me 60 minutes. I wanted to pull a saved video to share. I get home and find out my desktop Facebook only has 4 videos saved. I went through the rigamaroll of trying to sync my mobile and desktop accounts – they are the same – and now I’ve lost the videos. I think this intentional on FB part. Zuckerburg SUCKs.

A couple of latino friends have spoken remorse for voting for Trump. I gave them no sympathy and asked why, like most Republicans, they’d vote against their own interests? In September 2019, Valerie Casler, an Indigenous woman from Alaska, stole a phone from the truck of a man who had picked her up.
When she went through the phone, she was astonished by what was inside: dozens of graphic photos and videos of a woman being tortured before she was brutally tortured. Casler gave the phone to the police.
The owner of that phone was Brian Steven Smith.

Two days later, police linked Smith to the body of the woman in the video, a 30-year-old Indigenous woman from Alaska, Kathleen Jo Henry. They recovered her body from Seward Highway in Anchorage.
He was arrested, and during his interview, he revealed that he had murdered another missing woman, a 52-year-old Indigenous woman from Alaska, Veronica Abouchuk, and led investigators to her body.
Smith was born in South Africa and migrated to the United States in 2014 after marrying a citizen. He was arrested just a month after becoming a naturalized citizen.
SWITZERLAND: A Muslim woman was fined 100 Swiss francs ($126) for wearing a burqa, which was banned in the country via referendum.
She contested the charge, claiming ‘Islamophobia’, and then her fine increased to 1,000 Swiss francs ($1,260).

The story of Zinaida Portnova, the 16 year old girl who took the lives of more than 100 Nazis by poisoning their food. She was captured by the Gestapo, and while being interrogated, she disarmed the Nazi detective and shot him in the head. In her attempt to escape, she executed two more Nazis.
A seventh-grade student at the 385th school in Leningrad, Zinaida became member of the local underground Komsomol organization, named Young Avengers, during the German invasion.
She became employed as a kitchen aide in Obol. In August, she poisoned the food meant for the Nazi garrison stationed there. Immediately falling suspect, she said she was innocent and ate some of the food in front of the Nazis to prove it was not poisoned.
After she did not fall ill immediately, they released her. Portnova became sick afterwards, vomiting heavily but eventually recovering from the poison after drinking much whey. After she did not return to work, the Germans realized she had been the culprit and started searching for her.
When she was captured in 1943, during the Gestapo interrogation, she took the investigator’s pistol off the table, then shot and killed him. When two German soldiers entered after hearing the gunshots, she shot them as well.
She then attempted to escape the compound and ran into the woods, where she was caught near the banks of a river. She was executed in 1944.

When the aircraft reached an altitude of approximately 25,000 feet, it mysteriously began to lose altitude rapidly. Despite attempts to stabilize the plane, it continued to lose altitude without wavering, its nose plummeting towards the sea.
Because the pilots failed to return the aircraft to its correct position, they sought a way to buy themselves at least some time to determine the actual cause of the problem. They decided to completely flip the plane upside down and fly it upside down. Obviously, this way the aircraft could never land, and the chances of saving the crew and passengers were zero.
After eight minutes of desperate attempts, the plane plummeted and crashed into the sea. There were 88 fatalities and no survivors. Years later, investigations revealed that Alaska Airlines had neglected all kinds of checks regarding the aircraft’s stabilization life, and that the lack of proper lubrication had resulted in irreparable damage, completely preventing the aircraft from being properly stabilized.

Between East and West Germany, the west was much more Nazi. Prominent Nazis made a concerted effort toward the end of the war to surrender to the Western allies who would treat them better, and were then incorporated into government and military command. Try to imagine that. Every last human being you’ve ever come in to contact with, murdered.
That fact has stuck with me since I was young. My grandfather was a boy during the Holocaust and was lucky to live here in the states at the time. But his grandfather was killed in a concentration camp along with his grandmother and two aunts.
I can still picture his tears as he told me about it, and I remember him telling my father to never let me forget.

The house, the land, the property—everything belonged to the woman.
Cherokee society was matriarchal ,

drove the economy by taking responsibility for agriculture, construction, and food distribution.
The European settlers, shocked by this “government of skirts,”

stripped Cherokee women of much of their power.
But even then, Cherokee women continued to resist,
preserving their language, their culture,
and their national spirit.

She died in 1897, after dedicating nearly forty years to ensuring that what happened to her could never happen to another.
One man signed a paper to silence her.
She responded with thousands of pages.
And today, even if many do not know her name, her legacy lives on in the laws she helped change.
Because some voices cannot be locked away.
And when they find a way out… they change the world.
Kathleen Turner, the 67-year-old film and theater actress with the husky voice who teaches at New York University when she is not acting, spoke about something that almost destroyed her career – and herself.
“Body Heat”, “Romancing The Stone”, “Prizzi’s Honor”, “Peggy Sue Got Married” – Kathleen Turner was one of the biggest stars in Hollywood.
In her 30s, around 1985, Kathleen Turner was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, and she disappeared from the screen.
Medications, also called steroids, changed her appearance and impaired her ability to memorize text. Fatigue, loss of energy, depression, and severe pain kept her confined to her home.
As Kathleen Turner further explains, this disease is something you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy.
“If someone even touches me, I want to scream. It’s hard to understand how much pain this disease brings.”
The actress further explains:
“It was really hard. I think if there hadn’t been new medications to keep me healthy… I believe if I’d had another acute relapse, I would have been suicidal. At the time, I was just determined to salvage something, to become active again, because at some point I was told I’d be spending the rest of my life in a wheelchair. And I said, ‘No! To hell with you.’ It was quite a struggle.”
White america loved Hitler. Mildred Harnack was beheaded on Hitler’s direct orders. Born in Milwaukee, she was 26 years old when she moved to Germany to pursue a doctorate.
As an American graduate student in Berlin, she witnessed Germany transition from democracy to fascist dictatorship.
She and her husband Arvid began holding secret meetings in their apartment. She recruited working-class Germans for the resistance, helped Jews escape, planned acts of sabotage, and collaborated on writing pamphlets denouncing Hitler and calling for revolution.
Mildred Harnack nicknamed her resistance group ” The

The Gestapo arrested Mildred Harnack on September 7, 1942, and gave her group a name: the Rote Kapelle (Red Orchestra). Postwar testimonies and notes smuggled out of a Berlin women’s prison describe the daily interrogations and torture that Mildred and others in the group endured.
Mildred Harnack and 75 of her German co-conspirators were forced to undergo a mass trial in Nazi Germany’s highest military court. A panel of 5 judges sentenced her to 6 years in a prisoner-of-war camp, but Hitler rejected the decision and ordered her execution .
Before her execution, Mildred spent the last hours of her life in a prison cell translating poems by Goethe.
On February 16, 1943, at Plötzensee prison in Berlin, Mildred Harnack was strapped to a guillotine and beheaded. According to all available records, she was the only American leading the German resistance against Hitler.
