the buck moon

The trip was nice but home is better. This shot is last Tuesday, the night before the Buck Moon peaked. We were mostly overcast all day with lots of rain. We had a quick break in the weather.

The significance of the Buck Moon is rooted in Native American and seasonal traditions. It is the traditional name for the full moon every July. It is supposed to mark the time of year when male deer (bucks) push out their new antlers, which grow rapidly and are covered in a fuzzy velvet layer.

Thank you for reading today's post. Have an InterStellar Day! ~PrP

Trump is being paid handsomely by the Saudis not to bomb Iran until they can get a handle on their oil exports. Trump is lying to the American people as to why he is holding off on continuing to bomb Iran. In the mean time he is banking all the money the Saudis are giving him to discontinue the bombing.

Young black and Hispanic men gave the control of the Senate to the GOP. Now the narcissistic, ignorant pieces of shit are suffering at the hands of racist bastards they put in office. SWEET!

I hope the tRump administration makes their lives miserable in the next two years. Karma is truly a bitch.

    • Brielle says:

OMG are you right. My boyfriend is one of those idiots. He, like many young black and Hispanic men pretend have a certain level of tough guy-ness in themselves. White men know how to exploit that. They are quick to tell the idiots that democratic candidates don’t have that.

I like, my man because he has a big sweet dick, but he is not someone I would want to have children with. I’m a 5’10” 24 year old white girl. Race won’t be the determining factor when I choose a man I want to spend the rest of my life with. Intelligence most certainly will be though. Most of the young black or Hispanic men I know don’t meet that requirement, to be honest.

    • Nancy says:

All you have to do is check out the Senate race in Texas between that criminal scumbag Ken Paxton and his dem competition for the federal Senate seat, Talarico. The republicans are painting him as effeminate, and the young blacks and Hispanics are lining up to support Paxton. Like someone tagged them, “fucking idiots.”

      • Linda says:

Those same idiots patronize Joe Rogan’s podcast as if he gives a shit about non white men.

While the top issues for these idiots should center on affordability, the cost of living, being treated as equals and economic growth, they seem to be fixated on how big the balls on a candidate are.

In focus groups held by the centrist think tank last year and this year, young men overwhelmingly pointed to the Republican Party as the better representative of men’s priorities. Respondents in those groups associated Democrats with more social and cultural issues while tying Republicans with financial independence, finding a partner and starting a family.

      • Michelle says:

Texas is hilarious. So do they think Paxton is a real man. A real man doesn’t cheat on his wife and commit crimes. A real man doesn’t support child predators, felons and taking rights away from women. A lot of women have died in Texas because politicians want to con them. Seriously, Texas, vote better or maybe it’s time to give you back to Mexico

News Flash: The US military has refused to put boots on the ground in Iran despite tRump telling them to figure out a way to do so. The reason is that the Ear has refused to back the idea. It is rumored that he doesn’t trust tRump. But some believe that if the Ear sends in his military alliances which includes thousands of Iranians already in the country, the Iranian regime will fall. And that is the reason he will not help tRump.

The Ear knows that if the Iran regime falls tRump will take full credit for it, and that the Ear will not accept. This will mean the Iranian people will suffer at the hands of Guard. Many who were ready to fight with the Ear are now going into hiding to avoid the retribution the Revolutionary Guard is anxious to give. Death will be their fate if they are discovered.

The Ear is said to be very depressed by the situation, but he feels that the world as a whole will suffer if tRump gets credit for overthrowing the Iranian regime.

The present situation will end with Iran gaining something they did not have six months ago. That would be control of all traffic going through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran will gain control of 20% of the world’s energy and become enormously rich from the royalties they will now be able to collect from all traffic going through the Strait of Hormuz.

It now seems that America spend hundreds of billions of dollars to give Iran riches that they did not have before the war trump started. Iran will now have control over the seven emirates around the Strait of Hormuz.

So many companies are using Surveillance pricing to rip you off. Surveillance pricing uses your personal data to set the price, and it’s right there in the name. You are being watched. Your every move, your choices, your immutable characteristics—they’re all being used to create a profile of you. And that profile is being used to determine the maximum price you’re willing to pay. Your pain point, as it’s known.

    So disgusted with Xfinity Mobile!
    Discussion
I am so annoyed right now. Xfinity Mobile has done it again. Outages since 2:30 and they never put on their website that their mobile service was down Because of that I thought it was something with my phones again and the time of day which happens often since they went with Verizon and spent 90 minutes plus trying to get through to agent to help me via my chromebook because none of my phones would call out. When I finally got an “agent” he was worthless and never answered my questions and disconnected on me without warning forcing me to start again. AT this time one of my phones worked once finally I have to check others. But be warned DO NOT SIGN UP FOR XFINITY MOBILE They have NO customer service of any value and they just don’t care if your phone service works or not. If they cared they at least would keep their website updates. I would not have had to remember that they use Verizon towers and check their status to find out what is gong on. They at least posted it. I am furious right now and will be changing to different carrier that does not use VERIZON I prob will change my internet service too I am so fed up 44 years of Comcast and this is how they treat you.

I tried to post this where I thought it went on Reddit and they blocked it out so I removed it and asked where I could post my grievance and was told to com ehere. I hope it is ok here. I am just so fed up…need to vent!

      my/my neighbors’ property

      Rant
Comcast came to service a neighbor down the street from me over a month ago and in the process left a long cord across my driveway and across several of my neighbors’ properties. None of my immediate neighbors know who requested the service and none of us are Comcast customers, which has made it impossible for us to contact customer service. We have tried repeatedly to have someone come to collect or bury the (temporary?) wire but despite Comcast’s supposed service confirmations no one ever arrives to address the situation. All of their customer service seems to be AI and we are at our wits end. Does anyone have suggestions for how to resolve this issue, short of cutting the cable? We know it was Comcast because we saw the initial work trucks, and they completely knocked out my Verizon service (due to cattling) in the process. When Verizon arrived to reinstate service they confirmed it was Comcast but refused to move the cable. Rant over.

Comcast/Xfinity Sold me Service to the Wrong Address, Billing me Anyway

        Rant
I’m at my wit’s end with this company.

I moved recently and tried to register for service online. Every time I entered my address, it suggested a change. I thought this was weird because when I searched for available ISPs at my address, I would be able to use them.

So I called. The costumer support rep assured me I would be able to get service at my address and he signed me up.

A couple days later I got an email telling me my equipment was on the way! To the wrong address. The one it kept switching me to online.

After a lengthy evening call with multiple reps who couldn’t comprehend what I was telling them, I was finally informed they did not service my address.

Fine, I said, please cancel my account. They said they would. This was about two weeks ago.

So I get an email last night telling me I’m online and I have a bill waiting for me.

This is the worst, most incompetent company I’ve ever dealt with. I dread wasting another hour of my time at work dealing with these morons. I just know they are going to continue to make this difficult.

        Hey Comcast! Fuck you!

Let’s operate for a moment under the assumption that the primary purpose of law enforcement is to keep communities safe. What would make you feel less safe: a person who travels about an hour to purchase weed from a neighboring state where it’s legal, or a police force that uses a multi-state network of cameras to track and record that person’s behavior to coordinate his arrest for possession of weed?

According to a report from 404 Media, the Brown County Sheriff’s Department in Wisconsin used Flock cameras, which record the license plates of every vehicle that passes by them, to identify and arrest a resident of Wisconsin for purchasing marijuana. Per the report, the cops used Flock’s network of cameras to track the man as he drove from Wisconsin, where possession remains a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine for a first offense, to Michigan, where recreational weed purchase and possession are legal.

Per the report, the cops looked up his license plate and found that he “travels to Michigan frequently.” Of course, they couldn’t prove by the cameras alone that he was going to Michigan to buy weed. But apparently just going across state lines is enough to create suspicion. In a criminal complaint filed by the police against the man, they call Michigan a “known source state for marijuana as it is legal there.”

That was apparently enough of a pretext for the police to act. Once his car’s plates got a hit on a Flock camera showing that he was returning home from Michigan, the cops “made a coordinated effort to intercept” his vehicle. They pulled him over, and the arresting officer claimed to have “detected the odor of what he knew to be raw marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.” They searched his car, found the weed, and charged him with possession, of which he was found guilty, according to 404 Media.

It’s just the latest example of the police making use of Flock’s network of cameras that stretch across the nation for dubious purposes. The Wisconsin arrest was at least ostensibly related to law enforcement work, even if it reads as a significant overreach. But there have been dozens of reports at this point of police using Flock’s network to track former romantic partners. One cop in Florida used Flock to track and eventually pull over a woman he met days earlier and was attracted to.

Wisconsin law enforcement has been disproportionately weirdos about having access to Flock, though (or at least they’ve been disproportionately caught in the act). A Milwaukee cop resigned after it came to light that he looked up his ex’s plates 179 times in two months. An officer in Menasha got placed on leave for monitoring his former partner’s location via Flock cameras. In Kenosha, a cop resigned after an investigation found that he was using Flock cameras to keep tabs on a coworker he had a “personal relationship” with.

So, do you feel safe yet?
