Hey ya’all.  Let’s talk blog biz for a quick sec. 

After discussion this morning, it was decided that it might be a good idea to close comments to older posts – because of the fact that they may be overlooked by others, unless someone took the time to look at the section called, RECENT COMMENTS (which varies in location, depending on what platform you are using to view the blog).  Recent Comments looks like this:

When you access the blog, the most current post is always the first post.  That is where everyone is directed to.   If you would like to discuss a prior posting, make the comment on the current post page, and say something along the lines of “I’m commenting on the post called “April Fool’s Day, that was published on 2/26/19” or “re: April Fool’s Day post…..” (or whatever the name of the prior post you want to discuss).  When someone reads your comment, they can either go to RECENT POSTS, or enter key words of the title of the post in the new search box. Recent Posts looks like this:

The recent posts section only lists a few of the posts, but the search box will access the entire blog.

Depending on how you are accessing the blog, you may find the search box located in a variety of locations. On my desktop, it appears in the upper right of the posting:

However, on my Iphone, it appears below the daily post:

I’d suggest you look around the screen to see where it is available for you on your display. And finally, the search will work with words used in posts and post headings. It does not seem to work with using a date, or tags, as the search criteria. Since I’m not a coder, I’ll have to do some research to find out how to enable that ability.
