Magpies are highly intelligent birds. This woman, “the Magpie Whisperer,” obviously loves them.
My Best Friends are Australian Magpies
Since all but three of the magpies left my backyard to find territories of their own, I’ve been able to find most of them …one who was even 1.8 kilometres away! Given these magpies spent most of their time in my backyard when they were juveniles, and they hung around for an average of 2 years, I got to know them exceptionally well!
