Happy Birthday, Nina Simone

She would have been 86 today; she passed in 2003. She was born Eunice Kathleen Waymon and was known professionally as Nina Simone (/ˈniːnə sɪˈmoʊn/). She was American singer, songwriter, pianist, arranger, and activist in the civil rights movement.

Nina Simone – Stars (at Montreux Festival in 1976)

“I’m trying to tell my story … we always have a story.” Nina Simone sings Stars at the Montreux Festival. She was a very good vocalist. Listen and watch (her in the eyes). I’m sure you’ll feel the same I did: Nina sung about a world she knew to well.

Thank you for reading today's post. Have an InterStellar Day! ~PrP
