impeach

This morning I caught the news while getting ready for work – Congress has two passed Articles of Impeachment against Babyfists, for obstruction of Congress and abuse of power. IMHO its largely symoblic. I don’t see how it can go anywhere with the repugnants controlling the Senate. But I am still happy to see it playing out.

Based on the activity here yesterday, I’m guessing the tour bus arrived and unloaded. No word from any of my friends. How long are ya’all here for?

Thank you for reading today's post. Have an InterStellar Day! ~PrP

Sorry Calla, its’ just me – /SB. I’ve stated many times on Michelle’s blog that I am me, and she is she.

    /SB

    • Drake says:

/SB WTF does that mean? Are you suggesting that you are/have been impersonating the person (Michelle M) who wrote the “A Day In The Life” blog?
Or are you saying that you were her all along?

  2. Bradley says:

I,ve always said republicans want 1902 back.No problem with pesky womens rights and the color folk knew their place.Plus no regulations so big business wouldnt be stopped from rapeing the lands.

  3. Kathy says:

As with Zuckerberg, and all the republicans (the genuine seasoned politicians) who initially pushed back against drumpf, there must have been a private dinner at the White House or some kind of meeting with drumpf that resulted in a sudden public 180 degree change of opinion. Pretty sure mob tactics of bribery, blackmail, threats of violence, or some other kind of “incentive” were offered up to either tempt or terrify them into doing his bidding. Aside from the truly evil or insane amongst them, I cannot believe they’re all just blindly following drumpf because they agree with everything he proposes. Or, more correctly, everything Putin proposes through him.

Barr is Trump’s new ‘fixer’…and what happened to his last Fixer. Well, here’s hoping that the same fate awaits you Mr Barr and any other cronie that has lied for Trump. Easily the most corrupt Presidential Administration in History, they are so openly blatant about it and think themselves so above the Law they do not care that they are openly committing crimes on literally a daily basis right before the American Voter.

Surely not all you Americans can be that dumb that you don’t come out in force next year in all the election opportunities and slap this criminal President and his co conspirators into Oblivion at the polls, and hopefully into the waiting arms of various prosecutors across a number of jurisdictions. i.e. Calif and SDNY.

  6. Lucy says:

The people that support Trump are the lowest common denominator on the earth. We shouldn’t try to understand them. We shouldn’t try to find common ground. There is a point of no return and no redeemable qualities that other humans have. If you support a man that is as vile, immoral, vain, selfish, immature, and heartless as him, you also have no soul and deserve no understanding or compassion. It’s like saying you should try to find common ground with someone who supports the KKK. What common ground? Like you both like white sheets?? That is what is ridiculous!

  7. Andy says:

Freedom of speech is not freedom from accountability or consequences. You can say whatever you want, but the existence of laws dealing with libel, slander, fraud, false advertising, incitement, perjury, plagiarism etc., ect., etc should give you a hint that when you say it you own it.

  8. RS says:

The issue is that they are many dunces that believe anything that fits into their small IQ brains. Just like the IQ45 supporters. They are incapable of logic and thought. If they were just a tad sharper than a cue ball, they would not fall for the cons. Darwin will finish them off eventually but until then we just have to wait and watch them run with scissors.

  9. Carla says:

That Republicans in Congress can, on live TV no less, lie to their supporters and the American people in general with such ease is disturbing. That they do it with absolutely no fear of being called on their lies shows they have no respect for the American people whom they now view as too stupid to know they’re being lied to or too stupid to care.

    • Amy says:

It is all about the money that they believe can be made with tRump in office.

      • Lisa says:

Amy, I respectfully disagree: it’s all about preserving White Christian male privilege. (Money is a close second.)

  10. Patricia says:

I noticed the lying throughout the Hearings and I wondered if anyone in the Media thought it unusual. It was good to know that they nailed it. I also thought it was morally reprehensible to see grown men lie like they did. The number of childish human beings among the GOP Congressional Members is growing. There are far too many Drama Queens and juvenile players in the group. We will see what the Senate is like . So far, it appears that the real life clowns are all in the House except for Senators Rubio,Cruz, McConnell,Graham and Paul.Others appear to understand the seriousness of the situation even if they already know how they will vote. Of ccourse,I don’t think they would want to disgrace themselves the way the GOP House Members have, especially not in front of Justice Roberts.

  11. Gilda says:

The poet Carl Sandburg is credited with saying:

“If the facts are against you, argue the law. If the law is against you, argue the facts. If the law and the facts are against you, pound the table and yell like hell.”

  12. Rick says:

Old rich white men trying to hold onto power, covering for a wannabe dictator. It’s ridiculous, they actually think people BELIEVE their bullshit.

  13. Robert says:

Trump whines about impeachment and yet refuses to appear before the hearings or allow his minions to do likewise. If he is innocent of the charges leveled at him, why does he not provide the absolute proof of his innocence instead of sending an non-elected hack lawyer to Ukraine in an effort to fabricate an excuse?
Our legal system offers both prosecuting and defending elements the right to a hearing. Trump has declined the offer.
He promised Americans he would show his tax returns immediately after being elected. Instead, he has spent millions of dollars and a great deal of time trying to hide them.
Even the dimmest MAGAT must surely wonder why?

  14. Ruth says:

The republicans see no problem with tRump cheating to win an election because they have and continue to use their political offices to stay in power.
Voter disenfranchisement by this party is a much, much more serious problem, especially when it’s conducted by the government and a party in power with the intent to disenfranchise. It’s anti democratic and puts us on the path of a dictatorship when a very tiny group of people control who can, and who cannot vote.
Take Ohio, for example. The republican governor uses the power of his office to control who can vote and who’s vote will be counted.
When you toss out thousands of ballots because of mismatched signatures with no follow up, it’s intentional. Many people who are sick or elderly don’t have the same signature as they did previously. It’s not fraud, and quite common, but the GOP doesn’t care as long as they can get away with cheating

    • Sarah says:

Ruth, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Voter fraud, as in in-person voter fraud, it nearly non-existent. You’re talking about someone faking credentials, risking imprisonment to cast one, likely not to sway the election, vote.

I agree that we need to watch for fraud but if you look at the numbers of actual fraud vs. honest people getting screwed over they aren’t even close to being comparable.

    • Helen says:

Ruth, so true. Here in Ohio the republicans stay in power by using voter suppression, gerrymandering, or pandering to race baiting.
Jim Jordan’s district is so heavily gerrymandered that it’s joke. Might want do a little research…It isn’t the left who commit most of the voter fraud.

      • Mindy says:

Helen, the republicans add to your list anti gay tactics whenever they can. Even big companies like Hallmark fall in line. But sometimes it backfires. Greed can make these companies reverse that behavior. This from HP.

“The Hallmark Channel said Sunday it would reverse course and air ads featuring same-sex couples kissing at their weddings amid a public outcry after the network pulled the clips from its airwaves this weekend.

“Our mission is rooted in helping all people connect, celebrate traditions, and be inspired to capture meaningful moments in their lives. Anything that detracts from this purpose is not who we are,” Mike Perry, the CEO of Hallmark Cards, Inc., said in a statement provided to HuffPost. “We are truly sorry for the hurt and disappointment this has caused.”

  15. Stephen says:

Mindy, Bravo, Hallmark! (Pun intended.) Their endorsement of the adulterer/liar/hatemonger in Washington means that so-called Christian groups shouldn’t even get a voice, let alone a say in anything, because they’re frauds and a joke – just another bunch of jerks trying to control your lives and take money from dumb people and old people. You know, like the Trumps.

  16. Joyce says:

Don’t be so quick to “Thank” Hallmark for their reversal on this issue. Someone in the company not only felt pressure ($$$) but is of the same mindset and didn’t have a problem discriminating against the Gay Community. I will not watch any more of their movies until I see how this all pans out. The actors and actresses who make millions from this network may want to step back and think about Hallmark’s policies unless, of course, they feel the same way. Besides, the movies are all fluff and very predictable. The Male and Female lead characters meet, their eyes lock onto each other, they move in for the first kiss and something always interrupts them. Ho, hum. As I said, I would watch the movies, and I do have my favorites (Nine Lives of Christmas, A Crown for Christmas) when I have had enough news and they are showing the Criminal-In-Chief too much for my liking. Besides, I have them recorded so if I want to watch, I can.
