And, it’s a perfect segway into today’s post on a favorite group of mine, Salt-n-Pepa!! They were one the first successful female hip hop rap groups. Group members included Salt (Cheryl James), Pepa (Sandra Denton), and DJ Spinderella (Deidra Roper). If you were around in the 80s and 90s, you had to have heard and danced to “Push It,” and “Shoop“.
But today, I’m sharing front and center, “Whatta Man,” and if you know me, you know why I choose this one 🙂
Lifetime recently released a biopic of their story. It’s a fun watch I recommend. Salt-n-Pepa will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Grammies, airing March 14, 2021. Well deserved!
I think tomorrow may be Michelle’s birthday. In case I don’t get a post up tomorrow, let’s all wish her Happy Birthday today. Michelle, I hope your 2021 is the best ever!! Wishing you much love, laughter, health and success Gorgeous Lady.
