I love Biden’s proposed tax on Households worth more than $100 million dollars. The wealth part of the plan is a trigger. The tax is not on that wealth but on the income that such an individual or family produces. If their wealth is $110 million and their income is $2 million then that $2 million would face the minimum tax. Those that say that this would cause those individuals to place their money overseas seem to forget that their income would be taxed where it is earned and that such forms of income must be included in US tax returns. That income is still subject to US taxes less foreign taxes paid. Additionally the wealthy benefit from our economy so isn’t it time that we begin to expect them to stop avoiding taxes.

The money will go somewhere. The rich will either spend the money to reduce their tax burden which will stimulate the economy, or the taxes paid will go towards government spending which will then enter and simulate the economy. This is basic economics.

Sounds like NATO has internally agreed they need to draw a line in the sand. If Russia uses chemical or nuclear weapons in Ukraine and NATO does not take action, then Putin will be emboldened to then do the same against NATO members, starting small like Estonia. NATO really have no choice. And Putin only understands force.
What “action”? Nothing will happen. Just more meetings, mean tweets and memos. The sanctions may be having an effect but not close to really hurting them. Short of a nuclear war, with consequences outside Ukraine, NATO will do nothing. I think we can rely on the evidence so far to prove my point. Chemical, biological etc will happen. Kyiv continues to kick back and pick off Russian forces set by Putin to first distract, then (when humiliated) capture the Ukrainian capital, with particular success on the side of a group known as 72 SMBr, in honor of the Black Zaporozhian Cossacks. I gave most people who voted for tRump the first time around the benefit of the doubt that they didn’t realize they were voting for a criminal. But some of them didn’t care what he did because they believe a candidate should do whatever it takes to get elected.

The US and NATO has very little ability to intercept an ICBM carrying a nuclear warhead. Therefore we suggest no change be made to the plans to bring up those earthlings we wish to save. At that time they can make a petition for those they wish to be brought up with them. It that petition is denied, they can request to stay and die with their loved ones. Considering that about 30 million different species are on the list to be brought up, there should be room for those animals that they wish to save.
