The idea of having hearings on UFOs is great, but let’s get real, we will learn nothing of substance. I find it impossible to believe that the government has learned nothing in the last 60 years since the last UFO hearings. And I find it equally hard to believe that if our military does know what’s going on, that they’d actually tell us in a public hearing. As per usual, the public hearing is really just kabuki theater, with the witnesses and elected officials play acting the questions and answers, while everyone involved knows way more than they let on to the public.
You should be glad they don’t tell the idiots that there are aliens amongst us. The lies and conspiracy theories that those humans with bad intentions could weave would be disastrous. We have way too many gullible idiots to risk it.

And who is to blame for that? The lazy bastards that don’t go to the polls and vote would be my guest. So weep not for their expulsion from SF. Granted that doesn’t help those who do vote to change the stranglehold the rich have on the politics of SF. Witness the police who refuse to do their jobs so that they can claim that the DA is not doing his.
The rich and powerful don’t like the DA holding to account their paid thugs with badges. The SFPD are paid to enforce the will of those greedy men by terrorizing the non whites who would pose a threat to their manipulation of the rents in SF. They stack the SFPD police union with white nationalists and criminals who use the badge to commit all types of illegal acts to enrich themselves.

It is just another woe is us angst by a white man who refuses to acknowledge that it is the greed, racism, and misogyny of white men that has the world in the state it is in. The poem rings true today because the white man is still doing what he was doing then, today.
One third of the white race are bat shit crazy racists. One third are as normal as the rest of the planet’s humans. Some might not realize the historic implications of Finland and Sweden joining NATO.
Finland has carefully tried to balance it’s neutrality since the end of WWII. Sweden had a policy of strict neutrality for over two hundred years… only engaging in military cooperation pacts recently with the EU.
The fact that both nations have petitioned NATO for membership together… only reinforces the seriousness of the threat Russia poses to Europe… and world peace.
Their membership requests should be fast-tracked… so they can be protected… and so that Putin receives the message clearly… We will NOT be intimidated… We WILL stand together against belligerent neighbors.
This action is a direct result of Putins actions. You see unlike the US, Europeans actually read history. Once Putin started to take aggressive action against a free and independent country, shades of pre-WWII behavior, ala Hitler invading Poland, woke up these previously neutral countries. Why do you think Poland is lending so much aid to Ukraine? They have not forgotten tyranny, neither should we!
Not just Poland, but my own grandmother’s home country of Czechoslovakia.
The Sudetenland part of Czechoslovakia had a significant portion of the population who were German-speaking, and Hitler demanded the Sudetenland in 1938, threatening war if he didn’t get his way.
France and Britain agreed to give Hitler the Sudetenland, and only the Sudetenland, as per the Munich Agreement, and British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain went back to London and declared that they had achieved “peace for our time.”
But soon after, Hitler broke the Munich Agreement, and then invaded and annexed the rest of Czechoslovakia. France and Britain, humiliated, refused to let Hitler annex any more territory, despite his promises not to do so.
So when Hitler demanded part of Poland, Britain and France refused, and Hitler launched his invasion anyway, annexing the country, forcing Britain and France to declare war on Germany, thus starting World War II.
Students of history know that Putin’s rhetoric and actions mirror that of Hitler’s. He invaded Ukraine, not to prevent security issues from them joining NATO or the European Union, but because he still views them either as subjects or as a vassal state of the Russian Empire, and later the Soviet Union.
Simply put, it would be a huge embarrassment for him and Russia if they joined the West. Anyone who says it’s about security is spinning the truth, gaslighting, or lying to you.

There was an article in the paper about another drunk driver sadly killing someone via head on collision today.
