How about another bit of info about police being up to the job of protecting the public when a criminal with a gun threatens the innocents. All you ever hear from white boys with tiny pricks attempting to justify their “right” to buy assault weapons is that “what we need to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.”
Well let’s examine the recent shooting of 19 2nd to 4th graders by an 18 year old with two assault weapons. Ramos buys his two assault weapons, a Kevlar vest and hundreds of rounds of ammunition after his birthday on May 16, 2o22. He shoots his grandmother. The neighbors call the police. You know, the good guys with guns. The guys who have Kevlar vests on and are armed to the teeth. The same guys who have no problem murdering unarmed black men or unarmed women and children sneaking across the border. The town of Ugalde where the murders occurred has more armed police than any city triple its size in the US.
Now lets examine the prowess, skill, job performance of those fine law enforcement personnel when they encounter an 18th year old with two new assault weapons. The town of Ugalde has more armed police than any city triple their size in the US. Why you ask? Because it is a border town. Half the occupants are either Border Patrol, Custom Agents or other law enforcement officers. All armed to the teeth. And absolutely deadly when it comes to subduing unarmed minorities.
However, when it comes to facing a suspect who is willing to engage them and fire back, now that’s another story. Take note: Ramos shot his grandmother. The neighbors called the police. They spotted Ramos driving and gave chase. His car ran into a ditch near the elementary school. He was NOT heading to the school to kill 7 to 10 year old kids. He was trying to escape the cops who were chasing him for shooting his grandmother. Follow me now.
During the chase his car ran into a ditch near the elementary school. He got out an engaged the cops. The gutless wonders were now in a firefight with a suspect that WAS armed and willing to engage “the good guys with guns.” Who soon found out that shooting unarmed people is a lot easier than hitting an armed person who is shooting back at your cowardly ass.
So what happens? While they were ducking his fire, the gutless wonders allowed him to seek shelter in the elementary school. So he began to shoot the kids we are told.
Consider this if he was firing from the school at the cops, and the cops were firing into the school to hit him. Who do you thinks was more likely to have murdered a good many of those kids? If some of those kids were murdered by police fire shooting at the 18 year old. You will never know. Just as they cover up their murder of unarmed suspects, their buddies in the Corner’s office will lie for them and claim the bullets came from the suspect’s gun. You better believe that some of those kids were murdered by those gutless wonders firing at the suspect. They were spraying bullets everywhere.
What you will hear is how bravely the cops acted by putting themselves in front of the suspect and the school. Again don’t believe your eyes that show that the suspect easily breached the firepower of “America’s bravest,” all those “good guys with guns,” believe the lies they are telling you about their bravery. Pure unadulterated Bullshit!
There will be stories about the courage of individual members of law enforcement putting their lies on the line for those kids trickling out. All lies to keep you from asking what really happened, or why they didn’t apprehend the suspect during or after the chase.
Oh, and even if some of the cops did attempt to place themselves between the school and the suspect. That would not be an instance of bravery, it would be an instance of cops doing what they are paid to do. That would be, to risk their lives for the citizens that pay them to take that risk. Yes, that risk is part of the job description of being a cop. It is NOT the description of bravery. I repeat. These high school diplomas are paid the big buck to take that risk. Where else would an idiot with only a high school diploma be able to command such a large salary.
Definitions: Bravery is more like a trait or instinct. A brave person is a person who sees a dangerous situation and immediately reacts bravely without thinking.
Courage on the other hand, is seeing a situation or a dangerous or scary experience and acting, even though you are scared.
Neither of these apply to a person who is paid by definition of his job description to immediately respond to a dangerous situation to protect the citizenry he is employed to protect. Or to a person who by his job description is paid to act to protect the citizenry he is employed to “act” to protect in situations that would be dangerous, or scary to the citizen he is hired to protect.
A fireman runs into a fire when everyone else is running away from the fire because that is part of the job description he is paid for. Now if he goes beyond that to risk his life to save a comrade that is brave, but to risk his life to save an ordinary citizen is part of his job description. If he can’t do it, he should stop taking that paycheck and get a safer job. Now how is that different for what is expected from a cop whose job description says that he is to run towards criminals with guns and risk his life to save the citizen because that is what he is paid to do and what he contracts to do for that payment.
Yet, all we hear from these gutless wonders is how doing their job as described in their Employment Manuel makes them brave heroes. And these “brave heroes” were so busy hiding from an 18 year old with his new toys they allowed him to enter a place with 7 to 10 year old children. They should all be fired and forced to return the money they have been lining up to collect. Oh, well, they will make up for it with their next murder of an unarmed black man, latino, or illegal attempting to cross the border.
Wow! Maybe they killed him so he wouldn’t tell his side of the story.

You are suggesting that what happened is like when a cop chases a speeding car of a suspect that hasn’t committed a major felony and that chase results in the suspect killing innocent citizens it is the cop’s fault because he should have allowed the criminal to escape.

How about those sex scandals in the Southern baptist churches. I noticed that none of the “key recommendations” in the article included the indictment, arrest, and prosecution of those responsible. Just a lot of “we’re sorry we got caught, and we’ll try to do better”.
