Stop using polar bear fur to hide your heat trail from humans. Our technology has other ways to render you invisible when you are viewed with infrared cameras and night-vision goggles. Polar bear fur is efficient at retaining body heat for the polar bear not for you to kill them and use their fur for your benefits. This is NOT a suggestion. If you violate this order, you will be dealt with immediately.

Roxie Roker played Helen Willis on The Jeffersons, and as a black woman married to a white character (played by Franklin Cover) she broke the TV taboo against interracial couples. Roker herself was married to Sy Kravitz, a white Jewish TV producer. During casting, a producer raised the bizarre concern that she didn’t look like she could be married to a white man. She refuted the notion by producing a family photo containing her caucasian husband. We don’t know for sure, but it probably included their son — the rock star Lenny Kravitz.

    Did You Know?

Despite what you may have been taught in school, there are only 4 Great Lakes, hydrologically speaking, not 5. Lake Michigan and Lake Huron are not distinct bodies of water, but one massive body of water connected by the Straits of Mackinac.

Elephants cannot jump; they weigh so much that it is physically impossible for them to lift their bodies completely off the ground (and in fact they always have at least one foot on the ground at all times).

    JOKE;
    A blonde calls her mom…

Blonde: “Mom, mom! I’m a genius!”

Mother: “Really dear? How’s that possible?”

Blonde: “I finished a puzzle that I’ve been working on for 1 year and on the box, it said ‘for 2-5 yrs’.”

      JOKE:
John O’Reilly hoisted his beer and said, “Here’s to spending the rest of me life between the legs of me wife!” That won him the top prize for the best toast of the night.

He went home and told his wife, Mary, “I won the prize for the best toast of the night.” She said, “Aye, John, what was your toast?” John Said, “Here’s to spending the rest of me life sitting in church beside me wife.” “Oh, that is very nice indeed, John,” Mary said.

The next day, Mary ran into one of John’s toasting buddies on the street corner. The man chuckled leeringly and said, “John won the prize, the other night, with a toast about you, Mary.”

She said, “Aye and I was a bit surprised myself! You know, he’s only been there twice. Once he fell asleep, and the other time I had to pull him by the ears to make him come”.

Texas Red is driving his new shiny Mercedes through Ireland. He sees an Irishman thumbing for a lift. Red stops and picks him up.

Red boasts to Paddy all the great features the car has.

“And what”, says Paddy pointing to the Mercedes emblem sticking up at the front of the bonnet “is that for”

Red figures he’ll spin Paddy along and says “That’s so I can aim to hit any pedestrians I want to run over”.

A little way down the road, a pedestrian is crossing the road. Red thinks to himself “I’ll have a little fun with my Irish friend” and turns towards the pedestrian and swerves away just in time. But he hears a “Whack” and sees the pedestrian spinning through the air behind him.

“My God” says Red, “I thought I was going to miss him”

“So did I”, says Paddy, “but we got him when I opened the door”.

Wells Fargo agreed to pay $1.7 billion to settle claims that it engaged in widespread banking violations that harmed millions of customers.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau cited improper overdraft fees, account freezes, auto repossessions and misapplied home loan payments that have harmed millions of consumers since 2011.

Wow! Talk about getting off light. The thieving bastards made over 100 billion dollars with that scam, and they get to keep $99 billion dollars of it with no jail time. What a great country, If you are rich, and crooked as hell.

My dog has been acting very sad ever since she got home from the groomers yesterday. She won’t even wag her tail for treats. We’re really worried. Why is she being so weird?
Listen to your dog! My childhood dog was a happy yet anxious girl, but sweet. She rarely had issues with women, but over time seemed anxious at the groomers who was located at our regular vet office. Years later, I volunteered at our vet for a school project. I saw firsthand how she hit a dog with a brush and called the dog an airhead for not standing still. I still regret I didn’t report her. But we never took Trixie there ever again, and I started grooming my dogs myself after that. I’ve since witnessed groomers at other locations rushing through and being impatient with other peoples’ dogs. One was at a petco. The other was at a doggie daycare I worked at, and the dog was a sweet golden I knew well, who was obviously stressed. I made a comment to her about how I’d never seen him so anxious, and she toned it way down with him. Personally, I’d never trust a groomer again with my dogs. I hope your sweet girl will be back to her happy self soon.

What is worse for me, a can of Coke or a can of Budweiser? Why?
    Lets compare both.

    1. Calories: Coke and beer have similar number of calories for the same quantity. Not much difference there.

    2. Nutrition: Coke has absolutely no nutritional benefit. It has lots of sugar and higher sodium content than beer. Beer on other hand has trace amounts of protein and has higher potassium content and antioxidants.

    3. Glycemic Index: This is where the major difference comes in. Coke has a glycemic index of around 90 whereas beer has glycemic index of less than 15. Which means from an insulin resistance point of view, beer is much better.

    4. How it affects body: Coke has no nutritional benefit for body. On the other hand regular consumption will reduce your insulin sensitivity which may lead to weight gain and diabetes. Studies have shown that drinking beer in moderation has health benefits. However, alcohol is treated as toxin by your liver and puts significant strain on it. If over consumed, beer will be more detrimental for your health than coke.

In the end it comes down to how much you are drinking. If I were given a choice of a can of beer vs a can of coke a day, I will definitely choose beer. But I will make sure that I will stop with that can.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — As the new year approaches, the California Highway Patrol has compiled a list of new laws which were passed during the legislative season and signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom, according to a release from the department.

The following laws will take effect on Jan. 1, 2023:

Public Employment: Peace officers: Citizenship (Senate Bill 960, Skinner)
This law maintains that peace officers, including trainees, be legally authorized to work in the United States while abiding by federal laws and regulations. SB 960 will, however, remove the requirement that peace officers be citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
Catalytic Converters (SB1087, Gonzalez) (AB 1740, Muratsuchi)
These laws will outline who can sell catalytic converters to recycling centers and also require those recyclers to archive the year, make, model and copy of the vehicle title from the vehicle the catalytic converter was removed from. Both laws were passed in an attempt to combat catalytic converter thefts.
Vehicular manslaughter: Speeding and Reckless Driving (SB 1472, Stern)
Here, the law will expand what classifies as “gross negligence” when relating to the crime of vehicular manslaughter. Drivers who participate in sideshows, racing, or speeding over 100 miles per hour, which results in a fatality could now be charged with vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.
Motor Vehicle Speed Contests and Exhibitions of Speed (AB 2000, Gabriel)
Parking lots and off-street parking structures will now be included as locations where is illegal to participate in races, burnouts, speeding, or sideshow activities.
Endangered Missing Advisory: Feather Alert (AB 1314, Ramos)
The new “Feather Alert” will allow law enforcement agencies to send out an alert (similar to an AMBER alert) when a person of indigenous descent has been kidnapped, abducted, or reported missing under unexplained or suspicious circumstances and certain criteria has been met to broadcast an alert. The “Feather alert” will utilize radio, television, and social media to spread information about the missing indigenous person.
Hit-and-Run Incidents: Yellow Alert (AB 1732, Patterson)
Law enforcement agencies can request the CHP to activate a “Yellow Alert” when a fatal hit-and-run crash has taken place. AB 1732 will also allow media outlets to circulate information included in a “Yellow Alert”. The new law will use the public’s tips/assistance to help law enforcement agencies throughout the state investigate ongoing hit-and-run crashes.
Online Marketplaces: Reporting (AB 1700, Maienschein)
The Attorney General’s Office will be required to create an online reporting system for users of third-party online marketplaces to report listings of suspected stolen property. The recorded information would be made available to local law officials and the CHP’s Organized Retail Crime Task Force to aid investigators.
Bicycles Omnibus Bill (AB 1909, Friedman)
AB 1909 is similar to the ‘move over or slow down’ law. This new law will provide increased protections to bicyclists by requiring passing vehicles or overtaking a bicycle in the same direction, to move over to an adjacent lane of traffic, if one is open, or slow down and only pass the bicyclist when it is safe.

Class 3 e-bike riders will now be allowed to use approved bicycle paths and trails, bikeways, and bicycle lanes. This law will prohibit local governments from requiring bicycle registration and allow local authorities to prohibit any electric bicycle on a horse, hiking or other recreational trails.
Electric Bicycles: Safety and Training Program (AB 1946, Boerner Horvath)
CHP will be required to work with other traffic safety stakeholders such as the California Office of Traffic Safety, to develop statewide safety and training programs for e-bikes. The training program will include electric bicycle riding safety, emergency maneuver skills, rules of the road and e-bike laws. The program will launch in Sept. 2023 via the CHP’s website.
    Pedestrians (AB 2147, Ting)
This law will prohibit peace officers from stopping pedestrians for certain violations such as crossing the road outside of a crosswalk (jaywalking), unless there is immediate danger of a collision.
