RIP John Singleton

John Singleton’s family released a statement today that he died after being taken off life support, about two weeks after the director suffered a major stroke. He was 51.

Singleton became the first black director to receive an Academy Award nomination, and the youngest to do so, and also received a screenplay nomination for Boyz in the Hood. His other films included “Poetic Justice,” ”Rosewood” and “Shaft.”

Thank you for your contribution Mr. Singleton. You will be missed. RIP

Thank you for reading today's post. Have an InterStellar Day! ~PrP
