Since Civil Rights, the GOP gradually morphed into a party of anti-minority plutocrats, which increasingly attracted racists and authoritarians, who fetishized money, power and white male control.
That’s why the party’s further transition into the White Power Fascist Party of Traitor tRump, was not that big a change.
This explains why reThug politicians don’t see anything wrong with Traitor tRump’s lying, racist and corrupt election cheating.
The defense of Traitor tRump’s anti-American Treason, however, threw me for a loop.
I understand what Mr. Olando Jones is saying. The whiteboy always tries to prevent blacks from getting angry and using any means necessary to “get things done.”
He reminds me of Stokely Carmichael, a civil rights leader of the 1960s. I was a member of SNCC following the nonviolence protest preaching of MLK. We were spit on, rocked, beaten, battered with high powered water hoses, and murdered by whites who didn’t like sit-ins while protesting for equality.
White history will tell you that today’s bit of equality was achieved by MLK’s non-violent protest movement. It was not.
MLK deserves his honored place, but an EQUAL place at that table should belong to those Black Power advocates like Stokely Carmichael, H. “Rap” Brown, Leaders of the Black Panther Party and others.
The real success in attaining civil rights and equality for minorities in this country came when we were told to show our anger with the whiteboy attempts to keep us down with action.
I remember to this day the clarion call from Mr. Stokely Carmichael, “If a white man hits me, I’m going to kill him before God gets the news.” From that moment on the whiteboy had to contend with angry blacks willing to fight for equality by any means necessary.
That also meant that we showed them that we could be violent too. That violent show of force was reason white america decided to offer us the beginnings of equality we have today. The leaders of white america didn’t think they could survive the world opinion of their using police power to violently put down Black America’s fight for equality.
The Russians were showing the non-white nations of the world what they could expect from racist white america. Egypt was one of the first major non-white nations to leave America’s military alliance and accept the Soviet Union’s military alliance. This scared white america into reigning in the police power violence. They didn’t do it because their hearts changed.
It was Bush’s policies that we felt for the first two years of Obama’s presidency. Over 10% unemployment and a record deficit of $1.5 trillion. But of course Obama took care of that and by the time he left over 10 million jobs were created, unemployment was reduced to 4.4% and the annual deficit was reduced to $585 billion. And that is what fat donnie inherited. But of course the deficit will exceed $1 trillion this year and GDP growth has slowed to under 2%.
Almost forgot, the con man was impeached today and Obama wasn’t. Hahaha.

If not for an FBI memo that stale Republican Robert Mueller felt compelled to treat as sacrosanct, Trump would have been impeached AND removed last year. Election fraud and obstruction of justice weren’t even considered in the current articles.
Directing subordinates to make hush money payments and (separately) thwart a federal investigation were as much slam dunk cases as this blatant corruption related to Ukraine.
And then there are the public requests for Russia and China to interfere in our elections on his behalf, which somehow don’t count because he was on camera when he made them!?
Given the coming conspiracy and coverup by McConnell and the other right-wing stooges, we are now dependent on the courts to provide further evidence of Trump crimes by providing Congress its due right to view Trump’s taxes. If that right is blocked by right-wing judges, the entire trifecta of “balanced” government powers will have failed to check the most corrupt president in modern American history.
Just look at the Religious Leadership that speaks to Society! These are Profit Pastors, Preachers, Reverends and they are either Writing Books for their congregations to buy, talking about growing their Ministries for TV and Cable, Bigger Churches, Hell now you have Kanye West pretending he’s gives a damn about Religion. (Tax Breaks, Tax Dodge, 501 status) Paula White, Joel Olsteen, TD Jakes, Creflo Dollar, Franklin Graham need I go on! Really? I need a Private Jet, 2 of them, Bigger Church means Bigger Private Home, home so big that they could House the Homeless. But they need Taxpayer money for that mission! We’ll just take a little off the top each month! Blasphemy
I’d like to say amen also but I cannot! For the last 3 years I’ve had to read and re-read every article from Evangelicals pertaining to Trump his Cabinet and his Administration and it has pained me to say that I’ve lost all respect for Religious (So Called) Leadership. Never has a body poisoned it’s Congregations around the World with if it helps us then it’s okay justifications. Religion has proven that it is willing to do whatever to assume power or Agencies of Power for future use. I’m disgusted by the willingness to use the American Taxpayers to partner with a Party looking to create a National Emergency at the Southern Border, Federal Debt and Judicial System for a seat at the table in the WH. To even insert Paula White as the Religious Court Jester, makes it more painful. Evangelicals have shown their manipulative actions, behavior and all for a position that sets the country back a 100 years. I lay these atrocities at the feet of White Evangelicals and their Leadership because never has the Church been so entrenched in the demise of a Nation like them. You compared Trump to Jesus! You justified his actions for wrongs to “He was sent by God statements” how could you? It was Blasphemy and you did it anyway! Unbelievable- To late to fix, the damage will be long lasting!

When Falwell Sr. and others in America’s white evangelical/fundamentalist communities began a special relationship with the Republican party in the 1970s, our liberal democratic republic was set on shaky ground and has been losing to corruption and right-wing ideology ever since.

I saw that bullshit about the swamprat Nancy trying to delay the Senate trial that will repudiate Trump’s impeachment. What you need to know is the Senate can change its impeachment rules as follows: once the House has impeached the president, the Senate shall set a date for trial and shall set a deadline for the House to present its managers to the Senate. If the House fails to meet that deadline, the Senate will either dismiss the articles of impeachment for lack of prosecution or, better yet, vote on the articles immediately in light of the evidence presented to it — in this case, no evidence.
The charges the dems leveled to get their impeachment of Trump, those are just words made up by the dems. He was not charged with any crime. The whole process takes both the house and senate. It’s not a 1/2 deal. They know that they have nothing that would hold up in court (the senate trial), so she’s trying to control the situation….but she has no power in the senate. If she doesn’t send them and the senate starts up… it’s like not showing up to a small claims court trial….. trump wins by default. Then he can say he was aquitted. She is also scared because his poll numbers have gone up during this time. She could even lose the house.

Dennis, maybe they are delaying also to see if Trump something else that is impeachable that they can add.
Actually after the sham Senate trial… I fully expect Trump to do something else that is impeachable in a big way and justify it on the Senate decision. Which means Trump could end up being the first person ever to be impeached twice…. since Constitutionally that is the only option Democrats have.
She should wait long enough that the trial is not completed before the State of the Union address. That way Trump does not have the talking point he was not convicted.
Another reason to delay sending the articles of impeachment to the senate is to add further articles. There is NO doubt that trump will continue to break the law and dishonor himself and his oath to uphold the laws and the Constitution. Democrats can add more and more articles of Impeachment, especially since there is NO doubt trump will seek and utilize russian and chinese interference in our elections

Billionaires like, Harry Sargeant III, have made so much money producing natural gas by fracking they will do anything to continue making it.
By Anything, I mean Anything. Patriotism, morality common sense, be damned. Fracking has produced more natural gas than there is room to store it in the US. But rather than allow market conditions to cause natural gas prices to fall due to the gult, they burn off the surplus to keep the price artificially high.
tRump and cronies are constantly looking for markets outside the US that they can sell the surplus to cheaply so they don’t have to burn it off. Ukraine is seen as the ideal customer. Ukraine purchases their much needed natural gas from Russia, the world’s largest natural gas producer.
The US has helped with taxpayer dollars to build huge natural gas storage facilities in Ukraine so that Ukraine can buy and store natural gas from the US. This allows those unpatriotic billionaires to reap a fortune by artificially keeping the price of natural gas high in the US while simultaneously selling the same gas much cheaper to countries like Ukraine.
An added bonus is the pay off to republican politicians to get the US to make up the difference between their lower price and the artificial price they set. Sweet scam if you can get it. Giuliani, his two partners, Perry, tRump and his cabal were there to profit from and make the scam work.
