Yesterday, tRump was found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records related to his lawyer, Michael Cohen, paying porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election. Sentencing is set for July, and he “could” face jail time. But the charges are only considered Class E felonies under New York law, and if convicted, and not overturned, he’ll probably be receive only a fine and probation. Then again, Judge Merchan (who did a very good job directing the jury IMO) has broad discretion to determine tRump’s sentence. We will just have to wait and see.
Meanwhile the Internet is enjoying the show
I’m having surgery next week and will be out for a few weeks. But, I’m going to auto-load some light material so the comments don’t get bogged down, which will probably post on Wednesdays and Sundays. Unless my call-up comes while I’m on the operating table, see you on the other side!
