- * Christie’s held an auction yesterday “The Jim Irsay Collection: Hall of Fame,” which included David Gilmour’s iconic black Fender Stratocaster that was used on Pink Floyd albums like The Dark Side of the Moon. It sold for a record $14.55 million at auction. There were other cool items from famous people, too. The Beatles’ drum head that was used on their Ed Sullivan appearance sold for $2.8 million. Bob Dylan’s handwritten lyrics for “the Times Are A’Changing” also sold, for $2.5 million. Check out the link.

- * In honor of International Women’s Day, March 8, the United Nations kicked off their campaign, “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls” which hopes to dismantle all barriers to equal justice: discriminatory laws, weak legal protections, and harmful practices and social norms that erode the rights of women and girls. Did you know:
* Women have only 64% of the legal rights that men hold worldwide.
* If progress continues at its current pace, it will take 286 years to close legal protection gaps.
* In many countries, the law allows for early and child marriage, which erodes the full potential of about 12 million girls annually.

- * The Pygmy Long Fingered Possum and the Ring-tail Glider, thought extinct for 6,000 years were recently rediscovered in West Papau, New Guinea.

- * NASA is targeting April 1, 2026 as the launch day for the Artemis II that will send 4 astronauts to circle around the moon. Artemis IV and V are scheduled to land on the moon later this year.
