I believe D (https://www.orderlyrandomness.com/blog/2021/03/22/trouble-with-teleports/#comment-1516) had the right of it – it’s not the E slowing the gate. Imbeciles not following the Directive once through are jeopardizing the entry of others from their Motherships. Get it together! Just do exactly as you are supposed to do. The Gate will then operate as efficiently as it is designed to do I’d bet.
