Congrats to Sgt. Maciel Hay / &

A big congratulations to Sgt. Maciel Hay! She made herstory recently as the first female active duty sniper in the U.S. Army. She’s a part of the cavalry scout unit with 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment (1-91 CAV), 173rd Airborne Brigade.

A close friend of mine told me I’d never make it in the Army, and there’s no way I could become a sniper,” Hay laughed. “Needless to say, that person is no longer part of my life. But now that I look back at it, I really do appreciate the motivation.”

Gotta love the Supreme Court of Colorado yesterday, ruling that tRump is ineligible to placed on the ballot because of his insurrectionist actions. What does it mean? It means the Supreme Court of the USA is going to have to rule on the decision. This could upend his campaign if his cronies vote against him. But what’s the chance of that? If they did, would that mean that all states have to leave him off the ballot? And what is the timing when this could be heard by SCOTUS?

Have you seen the wonderful pictures NASA shared from the James Webb Telescope this week of Uranus? You can really see her moons. And, all those spinning galaxies in the background. So beautiful!

You might have noticed I have had some problems lately with The Avenue. I appreciate your continued support and thanks to everyone who reached out when it went down. Hopefully it is stable now. I’m aiming to redo the site next year – I just need to find the time!

Thank you for reading today's post. Have an InterStellar Day! ~PrP
