Landmark Communications is owned by the Batten family of Virginia, now run by Frank Batten Jr. Among his many political contributions, Frank Batten Jr. contributed to the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the National Association of Broadcasters Political Action Committee.
