“they can’t imprison us all”

Marina Ovsyannikova. Have you heard of her, or seen the video? She a Russian news reporter who crashed a live news report at her television station holding up the sign you see below. It supposedly says: “No war, stop the war, don’t believe the propaganda, they are lying to you here.”

Marina Ovsyannikova: Russian journalist tells of 14-hour interrogation

Marina Ovsyannikova has been fined and released after carrying out a protest live on Russian TV.

That takes some guts. Chances are it has cost her her life.

And she’s not the only Russian with an anti-war message:

Police detained more than 4,300 people on Sunday at Russia-wide protests against President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, according to an independent protest monitoring group.

The pink fairy armadillo, indigenous to central Argentina, is the smallest armadillo in the world at 3.5-4.5 inches in length (90-115 mm) and around 4.2 ounces (120 g) in weight. In contrast, the nine-banded armadillo, more familiar to U.S. readers since it is found throughout North, Central, and South America, is 15-23 inches (38-58 cm) in length (not including the tail) and generally 5.5-14.3 pounds (2.5-6.5 kg) in weight.

One of the defining characteristics of most Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavors is the texture—many of the company’s numerous flavors have nuts, fruit, chocolate chunks, or other highly textured items in them. A big reason behind this is the influence of co-founder Ben Cohen’s anosmia (inability to smell) and near-loss of taste, as Ben prefers chunky foods with distinct textures.

It’s funny isn’t it. Older women are denigrated by society but I think its because men are genuinely afraid of them. Afraid that the years of experience and b******t has hardened them enough and taught them skills young women have not yet developed to put men in their place.

    • Teddy says:

I prefer an “older” woman. I’m 31. My wife is 39. We have been married 7 years. I dated several ladies my age or younger before I met and fell in love with Debra.

You are correct about older women having the understanding to wade through the BS.

    • Ross says:

My mother was 14 years older than my father. She was 81 when she passed away 3 years ago. After reading your post, I called dad and asked him why he chose mom. He said that she was the most intelligent person he had met at the time. Then, he said she chose him after he had pursued her for 2 years 7 months.

      • Sydney says:

My dad was 43 years older than my mother, 45 years older than I am. Mom was his third marriage. He tried a younger wife each time. I was his 4th child. Mother said that she stayed in the marriage for the money because she knew the “old fart” would die soon.

He was a wealthy lover. But the money is nice.

No equal signs of justice can be drawn between those who are accused of a crime, those who are convicted of a crime, and those who are the true offenders. That triangle always contains the accused who are not guilty and true offenders whose guilt cannot be ultimately proven.

Throughout history, one of the greatest deviations in the strive towards equality has occurred in the triangle of guilt in sexual crimes, where guilt is largely proven on the basis of a woman’s will, or the place a woman’s will has in her environment at that particular time.

Heaven help America for those remaining Trump Republicans who continue to have their heads buried in the sand after all that Putin has done to expose Trump. They are unsalvageable in light of the savage behavior of a major Trump ally in Moscow against the civilized people of Ukraine.

This propaganda crap is getting ridiculous. Get the clown Z to wave the white flag to stop the killing in Ukraine. He was wrong that Western allies were coming to his rescue. Ukraine is neither EU member or NATA ally so how the hell is this idiot expect to get saved.

      • John says:

What’s NATA? Is that like Lieutenant Corporal, or Commander and Chief? Asking for a friend…

  6. Xavier says:

This country is at a tipping point. We have to truly know who we are voting for. These people are horrendous. They know who they are speaking for. They attend white nationalist events. They solicit racists votes. Those young Republicons are the same. Stop voting against yourself and save democracy. They want nothing more than to be like Putin. Have complete control, stop the press from challenging them. Wake up. If you do not see the resemblance between the republicons and a dictatorial government, ie Putin, you haven’t been paying attention.

  7. James says:

People ask me why I vote republican?
I can answer this. 1) forced integration via low income housing in middle/upper middle class areas. 2) rampant crime 3) no money for infrastructure because millions are spent on programs keeping Jamal busy so he doesn’t join a gang & rob people. 4) CRT which is a jewish tactic to shame whites while completely ignoring their own shady history of genociding Palestinians. I mean, I can go on, if you’d like…

There’s Bita who loves Adam who loves Alexander who loves the Vampire pretending to be Bita, who loves the night. There’s the night which only loves itself and death which only loves once. It would take more breath to kiss everyone and more time not to displease anyone.

    • Smooch me says:

I disagree. The kiss of death is not a “ live once “ but in the dying of the everlasting experience of a first kiss

  9. HB says:

You are hearing lies about Russia. Many escaped the Ukraine NAZ I’s and are telling the truth how they were used as human shields by the Ukraine military Azov and Bandera , and that Ukraine would blow up buildings to blame on Russia… Americans are the most lied to people on the planet

    • Claire says:

Uh huh, tell us HB, where is it that you are getting your information that is sooo much more accurate than the rest of the worlds, and how are you validating it?

A new study finds that a whopping 61 percent of renters across the United States’ biggest metropolitan areas are priced out of buying their very own home – even if they spent years saving up for a down payment.

Porch.com, a website that connects homeowners with local home improvement contractors, collected data that shows the average home in America costs seven times the average household income.

The data found that out of 13 metro cities, at least 90 percent of people currently renting can’t afford to buy their own home. Ten of those cities alone are all in the state of California, unsurprisingly.

Currently, only 4% of renters in Los Angeles can afford to own a home in the city.

I didn’t care about getting married or having kids. All I every wanted was a house of my own. But I’m now pushing 60 and I’ve not gotten any closer. What a disappointment this life has been.

WOW!!! I am pleasantly surprised at how effective the Ukrainian military is performing against Putin’s army. Russia has for many years projected the image that because it has nuclear weapons, it’s military is a capable, professional entity able to out perform any other. Ukraine has exposed how weak Putin’s military really is. Also, thus far, Russia has lost four of it’s important generals who were killed by the Ukrainians. A major blow to Putin and the Russians.

  13. LeI says:

We are aware of the assistance you are giving to the Ukrainian military. Note to prevent anyone from discovering that you are aliens we are removing your protection from death. Should persist in putting yourselves in harms way, note you can now die.

You now act at your own risk. Our advise is return to your assigned countries. Those who were assigned to Ukraine will retain their protective suits. You are advised to not expose your inability to be harmed by earth munitions. Set your recall so that we can bring you up in an emergency.

  14. Olav says:

Russian military lied to and forced their youngest, least experienced members to the front lines to be used as easy targets while they kept the older soldiers in the rear. The Russian mothers of the dead soldiers should be made aware of how the military treated their children.

Now the red states are setting up Voter Police. Let’s just call them what they are, the voter intimidation force. Only republicans pass laws against something that’s not a widespread problem. In fact, most cases of voter fraud comes from their side and in GQP led states results in a slap on the wrist, where as a democrat would likely get jail time. They have no interest in the integrity of the vote, only manipulating the process to win
